Amulet of Teleportation will trigger the cool down for the scroll but the scroll cools down in 30 seconds instead of 45 so it can be used before the Amulet is ready again.
Exactly! So you can't teleport any more often than with just scrolls. (Unlike what the other guy claimed)
I just tried out the Amulet of Teleportation. I like it. A lot. One unmentioned advantage: with a normal scroll of teleport, you have a cooldown. Either you waste time around base until cooldown completes or you run back to the front after teleporting home. Not an issue if you get home by dying, of course, but... Generally, dying is suboptimal (Invincible Oak on Fortress Mode is the only exception I ca
Following the logic of abilities picked almost every build, we must nerf:
Although not expicitly stated i believe what the other posters meant was not just picking an ability every build but getting the highest rank every build. This is pretty much the case with bite. Not so much however with your other examples: I rarely get more than rank2 heal with sedna, UBs spit is most powerful in t

In general I'd say when you only have bots as teammates you shouldn't be playing a support role. You won't be able to effectively prevent your enemy from farming the bots so you have to do the same in order to keep up.

They will eventually be handed out to everyone who bought before May 10th. I believe sometime before the end of may but i can't remember where i read it or whether it's reliable info.
in the end the host of the game can define the rules.
Exactly. That's how it is now, if a host wants to enforce such a rule he can. No need to take away having multiple DGs of the same kind from custom games. Otherwise there would be no more "ROOKS ONLY!!" matches and other fun stuff.

Is it just me or are minion really unresponsive sometimes? Because i really hate it when I want to kill that enemy DG with 100 remaining hp before he reaches his base and my minions can't find the time to stop bashing whatever creep they happen to be standing next to. It admittedly doesn't happen often but when it does I'm raging. Is is a case of bad minion AI or just another variant of the skills/commands-not-triggering-bug?

I believe the sim speed has less meaning than many ppl give it. Yesterday i played 5v5 for the first time (on beta). The game was lagging noticably. Quite annoying but not completely unplayable. I couldn't see my own sim speed (it just showed 0) but ppl were telling me i was in the negative and asking whether i could turn down my graphics settings. Since i do have a quite decent PC (Geforce 8800gt, Athlon X2 4600+) sigificantly above the recommended specs I was doubtful but st
Ummm... Do you understand anything in gaming at all? IF you people didn't know, DOTA IS A GAME (yeah, I didn't believe that one either the first time I heard it) and DotA is in FACT a SUCCESSFUL GAME (Omg nooooo! Imba hax0r! Nooo my brain can't handle it! I better go ask other fanboys to help me out here). What's wrong with asking for good features from other games? It's like create a FPS game without a crosshair! Peo

I definately use my minions independently of my hero! Not doing so would make generals considerably less versatile. E.g. helping defend a flag while your hero recovers or runs back to base (before you have tele scrolls), running to attack a nearby hero while you continue capping a flag (especially on Prison map). However the interface could really do with an improvement, like coloring the button grey when you have max minions.

Instead of removing the DG from the match completely you could split up his gold between the human players and replace him with an hard AI who gives no gold or xp when killed !

What he's trying to say is: It's unfair to be matched against 2 players in pantheon when you don't even have an AI teammate. 2v1, no bots. I know because i happen to be one of his opponents. And no it really wasn't a fair match, as you can imagine. By cheating and faking the stats etc he probably means that the 2v1 matchups he's been in were made because the Light Side is losing, so it may catch up again.
I really like how this system works. You have only one (or two if you count items) silence and the rest of cast-cancel skills are interrupt and stuns. interrupts work exactly the same like stuns only with a very short duration. So stuns are, in my opinion, only interrupts with the advantage of an unconciousness of the target. The funny thing when you kinda describe stun + cast cancel is that while
All games I've come across that have spell interrupts work in this fashion. This tells me if forcing a cooldown is removed, it makes spell interrupts too weak. Especially considering the longest cast time is 2 seconds, if it didn't apply a cooldown, an interrupt would be more like extending the cast time by a second, instead of denying someone their ability.
You're mixing up stuns and spell interrupts.
What you are suggesting is very bad for gameplay. All you're doing is complaining that you're punished for not playing as well and you suggest cast-cancling should no longer matter to harm the game competitively to make it easier for you.
Talk about yourself. Insulting others because you don't agree with them isn't going to win your argument. Fact is that there's nothing in the description of the abilities

Imo Tejsner is right. Having both stun and cooldown is too powerful. The stun already provides a huge advantage to the stunner. The additional cooldown just makes it op.
The spell goes of as soon as you click it. Only the effect kicks in just after the cast is finnished.
That's not true. If you interrupt a spellcast yourself before it's finished you don't use any mana, nor do you trigger the cooldown. &nb
