You do realize HoL can be interrupted during Oak's invulerability using any interrupt skill? Can't say for sure how it is with Orb of Defiance because I've never used nor seen it used. That being said I rarely even buy it anymore since there are items more central to my (Sedna-)build that allow me to actually stay in combat rather than taking cover to use HoL. Edit: This doesn't mean the price is necessarily where it should be.
Try starting the game with the "/nosound" command and/or updating your sound driver. There's a known issue of certain sound cards/drivers causing low simspeed on otherwise high end systems. I had that problem myself. Updating to the latest Realtek driver of my onboard sound card fixed it. Check http://forums.demigodthegame.com/348232 for more details.
And here was I, thinking heal scaled badly. Priests heal for a percentage of total hp and for free, so when you get in a situation where their heal isn't enough, your heal probably isn't gonna make much of a difference. That's my experience.
So what exactly is it, how is it calculated? the sim speed is basically, how many more cycles of the game (one instant in the game world if you prefer) your computer can compute during a game cycle. So theorically anything above 1 is enough, but since there are far more units at the end of a battle, if you start with a sim speed of 1 or 2, you are likely to experience some lag in the final moments. Why does changin
It's usually when someone (or several ppl) disconnects that the game has split. Everyone who is still connected to the "host" (in Pantheon that could be anyone) still is in the "real" game and the game will count as usual. Everyone who disconnected (for any reason: crash, game split, RQ) will incur a loss, regardless of whose team won. If you know you're not in the "real" game you might as well quit as the game won't count anyway.
It seems all posts made after the forum update do not show any replies made to them.
Did they really re spawn or was it just the archer towers spawning naturally?
Maybe it's just me but I don't really consider DG to be an RTS. It's more like a mixture of Quake3Arena with WoW-PvP than an RTS like Warcraft3 or Starcraft. Sure there's a strategic element to it, however the arena type maps, the game modes and fast paced action don't feel like RTS to me. Don't get me wrong, i love RTS! But I'm inclined to call it a Action-Strategy game (with the focus on "action").
I thought they'd only just stopped doing that because it split the community? With half the players on the beta servers, half the players on the release ones... Wasn't easy getting a game going in non-peak hours while there was a test version around.
I play Sedna and Oak a lot and while I wouldn't pass up on Oaks spirits (in a build that is otherwise more assassin than anything), Sedna works really well as an assassin. I'd actually go sofar to say (and I believe many/most Sedna players agree) that it's her minion build that is too weak. The only minions you shouldn't pass up on as assassin-Sedna is her priests, which heal a large percentage of her hp when combined with Healing Wind II.
I reckon you have to be using the absolute minimum system reqs to hit negative simspeed.
Actually you don't. There's a fairly common problem with sound cards/drivers which cause low sim speeds in DG on otherwise good hardware. I have an Athlon X2 4600+, Geforce 8800GT, Asus A8NSLI-deluxe and got negative simspeed on lowest graphic settings... until I updated the drivers for my onboard sound card. Now I can play with high
Sedna along with QOT are supposed to be the assist DG , and sedna having that pounce that hits that strong its just wrong.
Who says that? You? Your whole argument is based on the false assumption that Sedna (and Qot) are supposed to be support DGs. They're not. Sedna makes for a mediocre support DG and I don't see why her attack capabilities should be taken away just because you have a di
Since you didn't mention it: You should always get Mint 1 (gold upgrade) as soon as you reach war rank 3. Other than that Heart of Life is an obvious choice for Oak, pretty much a must have item. You know: Shield + HoL. Other than that you may take Namoth's Ring, Unbreakable Boots. Later Mageslayer/Girdle of the Giants/Bracelet of Rage (crazy with Surge of Faith)/Bulwark of the Ages/Ashkandor whichever you prefer and can afford. When the enemy has giants you'll

Imo there's nothing wrong in killing the AI when it gets in your way or threatens to do destroy one of your buildings. However if you go out of your way to farm the AI I'd consider you to be a cheap player. The AI is not an opponent, it's just an annoyance. Treat it as such.
Small addition: "Tagging" = 25% of their hp OR killing blow.
Quoting InfiniteVengeance, reply 1They stack multiplicatively instead of additively? That's....odd. Not realy that odd. Multiplicatively is the most normal way to stack %, and it is often the best way. I dont know if there is a limit to the amount of slow, but the calculations look good.
It's odd because all other percentages in this game stack additively (including positive runspeed effects).
Considering Sedna's top heal is 1.5k and SPENDS mana, I don't personally feel 1.8k health 1.8k mana is anything to sneer at.
However: 1. Sedna's heal has a cooldown of just 7 sec or probably just 5 sec through magnificent presence. 2. Shield + HoL triggers 2 cooldowns. After Sedna has healed she can still use her HoL. -> comparing with Sedna's heal makes little sense, if any.</p

Although I won't disagree its cheeseness, and won't allow players to do such in my game (ok, so I can't stop them, but I will remember them and never let them in after that), it isn't considered "cheating" yet.
