"May I point out the inherent contradiction in using that as a counter-argument, ArnieDude?" Because it is on the expense of someone else, and is a intentional act. A person who is new and may make mistakes is not intentionally ruining the game for you. You and people like you, are intentionally taking your frustrations out on another person and trying to ruin their experience. I mean seriously dude...does the concept of "playing nice" really have to be exp

Controllers are great, especially for sports/racing/fighting/platforming/ect type of games. In those instances it's much better than a KB&M. For Demigod it would suck of course. Controls like a RTS and KB&M is the only input device that works (well). And uh...why so much anger/angst/hyperbole towards console controllers? lol...

"Humor" at the expense of someone else to the point of ruining someone's online experience (for your own "lulz") is not mature, in any way shape or form. Part of being mature is being respectful. If you can't understand this, then no, you certainly do not understand what it is to be mature.

"Most trolls in games are perfectly mature people who simply like to yank your chain. Why? For the Lulz." I don't think you understand what it is to be mature.
That's my issue though, is this an issue that Stardock would be willing to address? It's kind of a touchy issue for the publisher to ban certain players based on what's sort of a subjective offense. Maybe if they built in a personal banlist to tie into the netcode of connecting players. So I have person x on my list, and if that player is an option for a skirmish, it would disregard that game for the banner, not the ban-ee, whic

Feel the same way...and is a reason I have stayed far away from most competitive multiplayer games lately. Actually...Demigod is the first game like this that I have purchased in a long time. So far I haven't encountered anything like you describe, but I am sure it's just a matter of time. As far as how to deal with them...not much you can do unfortunately. You can create all the filters you want, but at some point you will run into them. Yo

Yes, a resign option would be great. Just played a match where one person on the other team left, then the tide turned (in our favor) and the rest of the team left as well. Rather than having to play out the rest of the match against AI, would have been nice if they could have just resigned.

Yeah, that's what I was referring to (video card referrence), and like you said, at the end of the day it really doesn't make a difference as they are about equal in terms of power and game performance. I think the only real significant hardware advantage the PS3 has over the 360 is it's blueray player.

Yes, contact sales and please just stop the river of tears. This is not a pizza, or car, or anything like that. It's a piece of software and if you aren't new to buying software, you know these things are comman and there bugs and things of that nature. There always has been, and there always will be. It's the nature of purchasing software. They are doing their god's honest best to fix up the problems, but if you are so impatient and want to throw a tantrum, just

PS3 can be used as it's own host and people connect to it much like the talk on the forums here about P2P how WC3 works. Seems PS3 is in favor. PS3 has a weak-sauce video card, which is why on just about every multiplatform game the 360 version looks better. What does it really matter though, the PC is better than all 3 consoles combined.<br /

Na, they are poor. I hear them crying all the time about how expensive games are and how so many games are not worth it. By the way they talk you would think they are dropping thier whole paychecks or something lol. Must suck... Now that I think of it, maybe Obama could implement some kind of "gamer welfare" program. People making under a certain amount could apply for "game stamps" that would enable them to trade in for 2-3 games per year. Now of course

Yup, pirates are here to stay, just like people on welfare. I don't mind supporting you guys, I guess it must really suck not being able to afford a measly $50 :( One day though, you might get promoted from mopping the floors to flipping the burgers! Then you will have enough money for two games a year instead of one! Keep up the good work!

I think the system currently in place works well enough that a total overhall like this is not needed.

You'd just use it to wall in your own creep waves and deny your enemies the xp, breaking down the walls later to unleash a huge swarm.
Well maybe allied troops could pass through them or there would be one-way gates (so it doesn't look cheap graphically).

There are other issues with steam...especially with 3rd party support. Many 3rd party games have problems with patches and cause the steam versions to fall behind. I have waited weeks for a game to be patched on steam, while everyone else (retail, D2D, Impulse) had the newest version. The problem is from what I understand the patches have to be specifically developed for steam and then certified by steam before going live...this often translates to delays. And in a pri

Didn't help with Sacred 2, and a few other games as well. I understand the argument for Steam, but from what I have seen, simply putting a games on steam doesn't just magically = million more sales. Not that I would be opposed if they decided to do that (i don't care either way and already own the game) but I think the benefits of putting a game on steam is somewhat exaggerated and there are some issues as well (steam take a cut, patching issues, ect). Demigod already ha
