The best part of LoL is the matchmaking system. It's really worth playing *just* for that. You can play with a buddy and auto-match into a 5v5 team, it puts you and your friend on the same team. It's just really fast to get a game going with almost no effort (10-30 seconds average for me in 5v5). I also like that it doesn't show your opponent's characters until your team has chosen theirs.

[quote who="Obscenitor" reply="72" id="2346084"] I would argue that it IS a great mechanic because it allows games to be decided based on more than just generally ganking. It actually helps add to the overall map strategy. If the base portal flags on Cataract took longer to cap I might agree, really it just downgrades the game to tedious minimap watching with wildly disproportionate consequences for letting someone sit next to your tower for more than 3 seconds. I think it's funny the way the metagame has shifted for a lot of folks. Early: Swift Anklet is great! You move fast, and movement is evertyhing. Mid: Blood of the Fallen is great! You get to outlast people, and against people focusing on speed you just stand there while they keep running away. Now: Cloak of Night is great! You get to suprise people with movement. It's like Swift but better! Personally, I

I see no problem with cap locks. Both sides have equal access to them and they help speed up the game.

I'm not really trying to prevent HP stacking. I think it should be a viable tactic. I'm trying to prevent how much regeneration becomes passive. I play a premade team 90% of the time. I have a monk idol at the beginning of the game with me in my lane no matter what demigod I use. If I am on Beast then my teammate will send his monk over to me. If I'm on Oak then I'll send one over to my partner. Generals always ALWAYS must get idols both for thems

There is a bit of a problem with how priests work. They currently heal for a percent of max health, which is one of the biggest reasons health stacking is so powerful. The community has definitely gotten smaller recently, at least at the peak hours I play. Saddens me a bit. Hopefully it picks up again with updates and whatnot.

SoFFacet, I meant I prefer Oak as a partner for UB in 2s. We play Oak/UB now instead of Oak/LE. Beast is just too broken to ignore and is almost a requirement in premades. The demi's around UB are preference and style. As an aside, I'm not sure what special tactics you've made reference to a couple times in different posts. We didn't have any particular survival strats in the games we played against you. Our team put out more damage than yours,

It's just stats that are the problem for late game. In theory she should be able to stay in open form and pressure people. Mitigation from Goddess is her only late game advantage, but without keeping up with stats then she's not catching up to other character's effective 'time to live' even with Goddess. Change her level 15+ stats (HP and AA).

I gotta say, it doesn't feel like the number of premades are that high. I play with my friend(s) almost exclusively, and we rarely host games. We join games as a group (usually 2 of us joining 3v3 games). I feel like we often still don't end up playing against premades, even tho that is one of the reasons we join other players' games instead of hosting our own.

And yeah, making the matchmaking more popular for competitive play has got to be the goal, so that makes sense too.

I agree. Stats tell enough to be useful and should be shown in game. I don't see any reason to stop ranking custom games even with matchmaking, just make sure all stats/rankings are separate and independent by type.

Mist is not an escape, it's a delay and/or counter-move. This is extremely different. Sure, Mist can be useful here and there in very isolated situations, they all are best used in short bursts to prevent specific things. No change is needed to Mist. As for minions, there is a bug with one of the favor items to make this particularly powerful. If anything should be fixed, it should be that first, then we can see where night walkers stand.

Way too many changes to consider changing at once. After changing all of these you'd end up with a list just as long with things unintended.
