It makes no sense to have custom game rankings, whether separate from pantheon or not. Each custom game can be so wildly different that they can be like comparing apples and oranges. This is going to be even more true when mods are implemented.

I played Queen for a long time online. I came to one conclusion about her character design: ranged autoattack + point-blank AE main damage spell do not mix. The fact is that there's too much movement in battles between demigods for the way her ranged attack mechanics work. When you're chasing someone at your maximum range, you can't cast on them to finish them or boost her damage. She relies on Spike Wave, which is pretty bad compared to other kill moves. <p
So, you're fighting the computer?
Rook is not a solo'ing demigod wrong.
I meant in premades. Any demigod can do anything in pubs.
Rook is not a solo'ing demigod, no matter how well tower Rooking works against newbs. If you play with a partner that has good control abilities and helps you out, then you can play a hammer slam / boulder roll / passives build and be very successful. You rely on your teammate moreso than many of the other demigods. So, if you random on Rook, try to hug a teammate and pray they are good.
If you're worried about killshots then you need speed. If you don't really care about killshots then you can go for more healing. It's a choice you'll have to make based on playstyle and/or matchup.
This is just an indirect complaint about HP stacking. Moving on.
Frogboy stated he'd like to see official 1v1 maps added to the game down the road. It'll probably happen.
How often do the devs have to post something for you to be happy? Play the game if it's fun. Don't if it's not.
It's just because it's easy to work together with another person of the same class. You each know what the other is going to do, so in a pub game you can coordinate, even silently. If you plop two ooze beasts into a game and they just stick together, either they'll wreck people in melee all over the board or the other team will coordinate to overcome their brute force. I'd say the average team won't have the coordination to overcome that, given 2-3 random players.
Agreed. A team with monks early always has a big advantage. It doesn't decide games, but it sure gives the edge.
Monks at level 1 are overrated but I get to buy them very quickly...Without Shield, you will be easily pushed back at lvl 1 a single spit, fireball or pounce can push you back but if you take the hit and then spend three seconds retaliating, thats a different story.
This is funny. Monks counter all of those things and then some.
Its true that I don't rack many kills in the begi
Oddly enough, at 15 this build is identical to what i have on Oak. The progression, however, looks bonkers to me. There's no focus. At level 10, I have 4 Penitence and 2 Surge. I decide whether the current matchup calls for me to focus on support or damage. If i'm support then i take 3 Shield and 1 Divine Justice. If i'm damage then i take 3 Spirits and 1 Soul Power. After 10, grab the 4 points in the other half (damage or support) that weren't ta
I find Prison to be a lot more fun with Favor Items disabled. The both sides tend to feel less confident in early game kills, and it allows everyone to level up a little bit before real battles begin.
The problem with Uproot is that it is ONLY good when you don't want to actually attack the tower, just because Ground Spikes is so good at actively killing buildings. Sure, you can spend 7 points in Uproot and Compost to be able to 1-shot an archer tower, but with Ground Spikes you can kill that same tower in 5 seconds. If you really really need to kill that archer tower but you're getting harassed so much that you can't take the time to spike it, then Uproot is good. Othe
I use it on Queen and kite all the time. I am able to deal with early game melee'rs quite effectively, and I much prefer to fight a melee'r that has blood than swift. If they have swift my margin for error decreases dramatically. I don't think swift is the best favor item, but i think it's one of the best for the ranged characters. (All 3!!)
Yes, this game has a slippery slope. Every game does. Without any slope the game would never end. It's got a higher degree in longer games like this, and obviously gets frustrating for weaker players. That doesn't mean the game should be changed. Keep in mind that good players are still going to beat bad players. That's how competition works. Implementing these kinds of things just adds another layer of details for the good players to master. <
That's okay. I don't mind if you run away from me every fight.
Depends on the character whether this is a valid opinion. Ranged vs melee, swift is almost always better so they can kite. Kiting doesn't mean running away.
The in-game description of Queen is spot on. She has good AE and Siege. She uses a lot of mana, and her skills are restricted. Average players like to wtfpwn other demigods, so she's not that popular. Use her as intended and she's good. Forcing her into an assassin role is like building an AE build with Sedna using odd items. Waste of time.
"Perfect balance" is impossible. Even in games that are designed for 1v1, some characters or playstyles are just considered better. It isn't a bad thing. Just accept it and play whatever is fun to play for you.
Where does the queen fit in? I was thinking she was a support DG, but not really. Her offensive skills are not good.
She is support, and Ground Spikes is pretty powerful. Where Sedna is a single target support/demi-killer, Queen is an area damage powerhouse and a tower killer. They cover barely any similar ground besides Bramble Shield and Heal, but even those are not really used in the same way.
Queen needs well-played allies or she struggles, similar to Sedna. They have different synergies and tactics tho. If you play her as you would Sedna, then I can understand the frustration. Experiment with her using new methods. Why would you want Queen to be able to just replace Sedna anyway? That would make the game less interesting.
I like this build, but I usually use Swift. Is it really worth the loss of speed most of the time to have the teleport?
Priests healing for a percent of your total health just increases the issue.
It takes practice to play a hybrid build, which is the only build versatile enough to make up for bad teammates in random games. Hence, specialized torches often fail in non-premades. That and the average player doesn't fireball kite that well.
