I love how people on the forums are always waving their "This is nothing like DotA," schpeil just to turn around and bitch and whine about something that no-one should really care about. It wont change, ever, get over it.
And it never will with this attitude.

If there are no takers, 'volunteer' one of them. In a 2v2, this will devolve it into a 1v1, so two people get some immediate benefit over the current way of doing things. This scales. 5v5 would mean 8 people would still have a salvaged experience.
I like t

You've probably won faster than you would have had they stuck it out to the boring end. And let's be honest: it's just as boring to know you're going to win as it is to know you're going to lose. If your partner left right away, he was probably terrible and you probably would have lost anyway. But reading things like this: If you're leaving a game,

Invulnerability & invincibility that cannot be countered is a gross imbalance that you wouldn't find in any established competitive game. Which, unfortunately, Demigod is not just yet. The problem is that the devs have a lot of respect for the community and work hard to change the game based on

I don't think salvaging what can be salvaged of the experience is condoning their selfishness. They should definitely get a loss, and if people really want some kind of metric to use as a witchhunt for losers, I guess the detrimental effects of that should just be weighed against the benefit. As I see it, the 'benefit' i

When a player gets killed over and over again the frustrateing is going to build up and of course his going to quit. What do u want people to do play a game that they think or know there going to lose no matter what they do. Would u play a game that every time that you fought another player that they killed u hands down and knowing you had no way of fight

Well, it's a bit more simplistic and likely understandable to the average player. Instead of debating a disconnect/loss ratio or "doing the math" it's all reduced to a simple and easily identifiable high/low system.

That actually sounds like a good system. The only problem I forsee is people creating fake accounts, but on the other hand, it would most likely evolve to a point where people would only play with 2000+ or some such. Being that 1500 or below would effectively represent a new or bad player.

Until my patent gets approved for bitchslapping someone over RDP/TCP protocols there just isn't a reason to focus on *punishment* which seems to be what people are fixated on. It seems like mitigating the impact on other players is much more amicable. You won't risk false-positives and you'll gain more by not resigning yourself to a complete waste of ti

Turning Mist into an invisible spell is a poor choice of balance. It renders the skill completely useless, and is insulting to the Erebus player. No skill should be completely negated by an item, much less something as passive as simply dropping a totem. And to futher comment on the mist build I mentioned in a previous post; although it did work and we won the game, it was a slow victory. A lot of momentum was lost by me not actively fighting. Had I done a traditional bite build
I don't have a problem with anyone who leaves a game early because of an impossible to win scenario. Who decides what is an "impossible to win scenario"? You? What if you're wrong? What if you could have won, but since you left now it's impossible for the remaining people to ever accomplish? So what happens in demigod because of this attitude? SomeRandomNewbie starts playing demigod.&nbs
