Good post, and Good research. It's been mentoned that we need stats in game, but just to clarify the premade issue a little more, perhaps we could get a simple button click on each player that will pop up a small overlay window of thier stat breakdown. Including: Rank, XP, Heroes used, teamates and win/loss for the last say.. 3 games. If we get a tab on each players page showing these items, the pop up can link to and center on that info. Should be a solution tha
If you see a 1 vs 1 and are near, and you are, id say above 50% health, you go to it. Mabey even less
Sure.. I agree. I just hate people that don't communicate in a game, then bitch afterwards. I've played voice games with people that bitch and complain the entire game about one of our teamates performance, yet they never type a word into chat. Communication > Bitching
Tell me what on earth possesses people to run from a fight when it is 2v1 (you have the 2), they are not even taking any damage,
So.. the guy was already heading to town to buy something and you spotted a DG on a nearby lane and charged them without saying anything to the "noob teamate" who "ran away" to town eh? Then got all angry cause he did not bother to read your mind. interesting...
try flashing your bios. google it if you dont know how
bleh, what a garbage community, im with frogboy, fuck this shit.
Regarding pantheon/skirmish: I like the idea someone mentioned where it will team you up with people who are on your friends lists. That would be EASY to do. What's the consensus here on that thought?
sounds like a great start
the issue with casual players (and i am one now, for the most part) is that they aren't going to stay with it for the long haul. communities are built and maintained by the most hardcore and competitive gamers (which i used to be, when my private life allowed for more leisure time). if you want a game to keep going for years you need to foster its competitive/hardcore community. otherwise it will expire after 1
I enjoyed HoN, it has a lot going for it, but I lost intrest due to not having a zoom function. The matchmaking system and game options, stat tracking etc is absolutely jaw dropping, it was clearly built for competetive play from the ground up. The only other big drawback is that is an exact clone of DoTA, so if you like dota and always wanted to play an updated version, HoN for you. Imo Demigod is the better game (to me). If Demigod had HoN's matchmaking and stat system it wo
Frogboy Who's "you guys"? You should probably first find out what you're talking about before making such statements. Condescend all you want. I'm not the typical clueless asshat you're used to. Someone at GPG or Stardock ("you guys") made the decision. You've stated you favor the 1900+ casuals over the 100+ competitives. I understand your position and appreciate the honesty. Now I know where to spend my ti
There is no reason that custom games should be counted as NA. We are not provided with a ranked mechanism for people who want to play with other friends. You would be taking something away from us. That's the last thing we need. We've been through this argument before. People who want to play PUG games play Pantheon/Skirmish. People who want to play against each other in groups play custom games. Rankings mean nothing in pantheon/skirm
anti-intelectual eh? C'mon, that's reaching a bit dont ya think? Anyways, this thread is a moot point these days. Nice necro though.
Well, when there is nothing to say there's not much point in saying anything. I don't blame SD or Frogboy, I blame GPG, it's ulitimately on thier heads to deliver as the developers. And not to bash GPG but they have yet to ever release a top shelf game (imo) the original Dungeon Siege was the only widely known game and even that was a cookie cutter arpg cash cow. I had high hopes with Demigod, but I'm afraid after how things have gone down GPG is officially in my trash pile of

a little confused by the sign up.. it says I need a registered game account?
i bet when the mod tools come out i bet half the community will make 3 demis in the fucking time it takes GPG to make 1 Perhaps in the long run, that will happen, but that's only because the community does not have budget nor time constraints. Can't you be more patient with them already? Being so unkind with words won't speed up the process.
neither will being kind. the team has clearly moved o
My 2 cents is that clan support needs to come before modding. Right now I am not playing due to the fact that I cannot join my friend in a pantheon match and if we choose to play customs we have to deal with rage quitting and and all the dregs of the community. I'd like to come back and play over having new mods and the same old issues. Most mods are going to be custom game mods anyway, so we would (likely) have the same issues we have now with more maps floating around. I'm v
Stardock should take a clue here and go ahead and disable changing user names, killing 2 birds with one stone by creating accountability for both rage quitting and premades. One account, one record, case closed. Then if people want to rage quit and pub stomp they can be properly avoided and/or blacklisted.
It's a tough issue really. It is. I for one, love playing with friends, but the problem is that of the 4 of that were playing only 2 of us are left (due to server issues the other 2 have simply moved on). So I can play 2v2's or PUGs and thats pretty much it. Honestly though, I think the real issue is.. in my mind, the flag mechanic. It doesnt matter how hard I play or how many kills I get , if my teamates don't understand the basic fundementals of flags=upgrades then the game is
Really hard to answer definitvely, because the "best" hero is usually a counter to the other team, and of course everyone has thier own opinion. That said, my picks would be; Best general - Oak Best Assassin - Beast Hardest General - Queen of Thorns Hardest Assassin - .. tough choice, they are all pretty much easy mode, but I guess I'll go with Torch Bearer because he is squishy and it takes time to learn to dual spec ice/fire. community for the lose
yea, enjoy it while it lasts, premade stomping is only running off more players. Have fun owning yourselves into a dead game. Team matchmaking is months away, I dont think it'll come along in time to save DG. Community for the lose.
maybe I read it wrong, but page 3 shows a loss and there is a N/A on page 1.
Well, there is one change I would like to see to mines, and it involves interaction with the totem of visibility item. When you play as regulus you have a nice clear aura around your mines, but when you reveal them with a totem, they do not have the aura, making them still very hard to see in a crowded lane. I think the aura should show to enemy players when revealed with a totem of visibility. I'm usually paying attention to where he throws his mines but sometimes I buy totems so my
