It's amazing how much changed while you were gone. And by that, I mean that nothing at all changed while you were gone. And btw, your kidney feels great and I can keep drinking now.

I wish Synn were here so he could see true irony. I told him several times what he was writing was not irony...but this, THIS, is irony.

Does the cloak of night port cause your minions to move with you? So if they're across the screen can you cloak of night to get them to you?

Okay, I'm still a noob after all of this time, but I have to say, the DA is a self-indulgent choice. This is a team game and as the teams improve, kills are more difficult to get. The DA can do little to increase income (for himself or others), cannot hold a flag by himself, and generally isn't buying citadel upgrades early (because he must overcome his squishiness). When I see a DA on my team, I generally assume that we are going to have to carry him until level 15. OF course he is v

There's a post about hauberk and you will notice it if you check your spirits' life bar. They will be in the red when they appear. So they can heal faster, but they will die more quickly if they are sent immediately to a tower.

Both of you are just close enough to argue intelligently, but just wrong enough to be dangerous. I think you are confusing some definitions, but I'm only guessing where. I think you should delineate your analysis of private property from personal property. For instance, the discussion of pornography is usually in regard to personal property being used to proliferate the same. The fact that it's private only means that it is not government or public property. There can be arguments that certai

I love how people keep saying that this game is on its last legs as though that is a convincing argument to change a current action. The problem with that logic is that it does not address the motivation for the decision. Those who still play the game, play it because the get something out of it. If that is decreased by playing with people with unproven records, then why would they change that because fewer people are playing?

Opposite actually. I'm saying that corporations don't want the USA to be at war. As for politicians being figureheads...there is argument that supports that, but ultimately, they do have appointed powers that make them, well, "powerful".

I think we are getting way off topic. But you really need to think about some of the things you're saying. If corporations were not afforded any rights that human beings have, particularly the protection of the bill of rights, then our democracy would fail per se. Capitalism relies on the functions of a market sustained by the market itself. Business minded people will not invest if there is not a protection from personal liability. Thus the corporate form was created. Liability only to the e

Here is a replay where my regulus teammate actually rages out and calls me noob as my I am spirit attacking the CITADEL!!! When he leaves, they lock our portals and giants ravage our citadel. We lose. I am welcoming critiques of my game as well. http://www.gamereplays.org/demigod/replays.php?game=51&tab=upcoming&show=details&id=114085

That's not entirely true Aroddo. I am not a fan of the decision and it does fly in the face of a century of law; but, the Supreme Court has the ability to do that. Here's the thing, that decision was actually protecting the freedom of speech. A corporation is an entity given the rights and powers of an individual (to a certain extent). The prior law limited the rights of these entities to express their political views by donating to the representatives campaigns that they saw as their

^^ Yes, this is the type of thing driving me nuts right now. You won't believe how many times people will say: "Oak! Move up! Oak, be more aggressive!" To which I reply, "I only have shield level 1 and I have less than 3000 hit points." And then I get called a noob. Minion builds are very effective when even mildly supported.

I am far from pro. But if you are playing against a team with no area of effect and your teammate tells you he's going full minion, there are two basic things you need to do. Do not die. And cap and lock flags. The second includes protecting the portal and gold flags with locks if necessary. And if you can succeed in this, then the minion player can win the game in 17 minutes and 46 seconds. If you fail at either of these issues, then you can cause a loss. Your minion player will not

That is very close to true Synn. but not quite. Freedom of speech does apply to private forums when a.) the administrator entity of the forum is located within the United States, and b.) the forum is being operated in a capacity that provides a public function that is generally provided by the government. "A." is true here, but "B." is not. So, you were correct in implying that there is no freedom of speech in this context.

The metagame is the most important aspect I think. A lot of people in the near-beginner or mid-skill level will assume that they are winning or losing based purely on kill count. But, if they are behind two levels of warscore and the other team has had curr2 for two minutes while they don't even have curr1...it's a done deal. Also, most players don't understand tagging and creep mining, or that a three wave cycle on a captured portal will reep amazing gold and experience benefits. Jus

What, like Smurf_Demon? I can attest to this phenomenon as well. Another factor that should cause kicks, is less than 90% completion rate. Ugh...

A good erebus with any of the proper builds should be nearly unkillable one on one. You would have to win the game in macro rather than micro. So you need someone uber quick who can take down buildings and get experience and gold from creeping elsewhere. I suggest any general, and never chasing the kill.

I have to say, I have left the majority of my games because of baby crying, wife needing help, or business call rather than any ingame reason. The real world does still take dominion.

Here's the thing I'm struggling with, GPG owns the title to the intellectual property underlying the game. Any R&D done on the game will be a massive tax deduction (regardless of what country it's done in) toward gains to the income of the company. But I don't think GPG can deduct the money that SD spends on R&D and I don't think that SD can deduct the money that it spends if it can't attribute any of its gains directly to the R&D (meaning it needs to hold some beneficial title to
