Wait rankings are working?
lol, good one.
Dota did have a few heros from time to time who could rebuild towers. Im thinking of RoC Dota though. it didnt end up being over powered since that hero had to spend money to use that skill. I was quite fond actually.
RoC Dota also had Mandevar, the hero whose ult could MOVE towers! And the Tree of Life. And the fountain. Good times....
It's easy to tell if it's a premade... for 1 usually their pings are very close which is not usual for this game unless they are a premade.
That's people on a LAN. You know that people who know each other and play together aren't always sitting in the same room, right?
I wonder if it's some kind of consequence of random. Or maybe it sticks with that last hero you used in a custom game?
I check their name at pantheon http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/ Yes it's tedious but better than wasting 30 minutes in a premade game
Might work if alt-tab didn't cause the game to explode. I don't want to use windowed mode. Your best bet is making your own game and putting "no premades" in the title. Still no guarantees though.
So first thing I wanted to get off my chest was that the community that plays this game is killing off thier own user base by conintually stacking. This will kill the game. I have seen it happen to many other games. This will happen again, especially when combined with the continual bugs and balance issues with this game.
It's not entirely their fault though. They have no choice. There is no arranged team option in matchmaking so custom games are the ONLY WA
Permanent building destruction is one of the key features in both Dota and Demigod. It's how you progress. If you could replace them then it wouldn't be as important to defend them.
The problem is there is no "Hold Position" command in this game.
This shouldn't be an option, it should be the default.
Obviously you cannot stop griefing. Someone can hurl their Demigod into the enemy towers all game and you can't stop them. But adding an afk autokick after 5 minutes is simple and easy and makes it harder for an afk griefer to ply his trade. (Having to put effort into his griefing rather than the far easier "set it and forget it") It doesn't hurt legitimate players. It should be added.
Fortunately it's not as bad for Rook because his archer/lighttower/trebuchet does not suffer from any auto attack bugs.
eres has a higher win % that just means there are more people playing him with noobs
Use Occam's Razor.
According to the win % statistics Erebus is still overpowered. So....yeah.
Personally I think they should add ally hero denies....
penitence, surge of faith, invinc, 10 spirits (calculating....calculating....) = 7 skill points
Oh so it's level 1 pentitence, level 1 surge, a 2 sec shield and no damage autoattack boost Oak? Yeah I'm not worried. My Sedna has level 3 Pounce and Level 2 Heal. No problem. Just stop the theorycrafting.
he Spirits and the Oak buff will far out DPS Sedna and her minions, assuming they all just focus fire on
Not talking about the level 10 potion, and never was. At that level you're getting a higher death timer too, so you're out of the action for even longer while you "farm."
I don't see why you think this isn't an exploit
Again, where have I said I don't think this is an exploit? I just don't think it's a big deal.
There's seriously a command line option for this? This should be the default. There shouldn't even BE an option.
Yeah seriously. Run to the center of cataract at the start of the match. The noob's hero has 1k life. The people who know what they're doing have 2200+. What exactly are you supposed to do against that kind of inequity? It's not like buying gloves instead of HP in the beginning is going to make your autoattack do twice as much to compensate.
There need to be fortresses on the side lanes in Cataract. Then trebuchets would be useful. Additionally the upgrades like tower hp and damage scale horribly. You get diminished benefit for exponential cost. Why would anyone buy upgrades past rank 1 except for creeps is the problem.
Where does penitence fit into this whole heal strategy? Surge of faith? If this argument were reversed, you'd be winning with Oak vs Sedna because I'd have mistimed my silence or something.
So he has 10 spirits, invincibility shield, Pentitence and Surge of Faith? What kind of mythical Oak is this?
Returns an approximation of the amount of CPU time used by the program, in seconds." (same for os.time() )
Wait, so it's not the current date? Then you probably shouldn't use it.
They could do a Valve and surprise us all:
Personally I would pay another $50 for a Demigod like the one you described. Assuming it worked.
They need to add a way to reduce incoming ability damage. Then they can reduce HP item potency. As it is it's an ability spamfest so you must get HP to survive.
He's right about the seeding though. You seed it once and then pull the numbers via random calls. There's no need to be constantly seeding it, just do it once with the current time milliseconds from epoch. However, if it's true that the math.random() function always returns the same number after a seed....something is broken.
Your opponent is afk? Where are his abilities and how do they fit into this? You go ahead and pounce the invincible Oak while 10 spirits attack you.
You got the order wrong then. You heal when the Oak is invincible. You pounce when he's not. I'd think this is elementary but....
And to the person who says nobody can anymore argue with me, I forewarn you this is what happened in the DoW forums.

Back when
