I have exact the same problem. I try to join a game and i can connect to just 1 person the rest is on status waiting to connect. If i make a game I usually can connect to people but on their side it says not connected to anyone. I could play fine before the patch. Nothing has changed in the router or network config, everything worked fine before this last patch. Now I can't play anymore.
So I launched myself into this game and the multiplayer. And find myself getting owned ofc :). SO Could anyone give some strategy tips, hints and tacs? There is so much possibilities to do with your gold i can't seem to find a focus. Also on the demigod's they all play so differently can someone gives some clues as to combine what with what?
Well that's all good but doesn't answer my question. What's the difference between the 2? Is there still something wrong with my network that i can't play via the normal way? OR is the fact that i can play via GameRanger proof that my network settings are correct and it's just Stardocks who f***s up?
Ok I'm trying to find a way to play this game in a decent way. I'm trying to find the right configurations etc of the ports/router to make it work. I can't play multiplayer games if I launch them in a clasic way from the game itself. But i can play if i launch it from Gameranger. If i log into gameranger and host a game and then laucnh it it launches demigod and i can start a game without problem. So can anyone tell me what the difference is between ingame multiplayer and via

Ok i've been browsing the forum and finding some things about the connectivity issues. I've forwarded the ports 6073 and 6100-6200. But I still can't connect ot any multiplayer game via demigod itself. If I try to join a game It tries to connect forever to then tell me I've been kicked. When i host a game and wait a bit in the end there will be one or two persons who can join the lobby. Never started a game because people never stay long but their pings are all right (
