But after a few levels towers instead become assisters and not lone guardians. At later levels the towers are just there to support the defending DG and add some extra firepower when the battles get close.

I see these happen all the time. They just aren't mentioned as much. Tower Rook + Staff of Renewal = win Oak + Wings of Seraphim Dark Crimson Vial is pretty nice as it gives you free large potions As soon as I get enough favor again I'll try Cape of Plentiful mana with QoT Spike build. Teleport Cape + Sedna Pounce Cape of Plentiful Mana + Sedna Heal = never needing to retreat to crystal
I'm pretty sure passive abilities don't stack but I could be wrong.
But there are no problems with doubles. It brings forth their strengths to a greater degree but also their weaknesses. Unless of course the doubles are using completely different builds. My friend and I like going double TB. He goes ice and I go fire. We are completely different DGs build-wise and are specced to do completely different jobs on the field. If we both say go with an ice build then we'll be great at freezing towers, killing creeps, and annoying/interupting DGs BUT
No its actually not THAT easy. Possible yes easy, no. So unless he was some exceptionally good coder which I doubt, because I know plenty of very good coders around here and none of them could pull this off, it was not a cheat. It had to be something else. Possible an exploit but not a cheat.
At first I liked shamblers due to their ranged AoE attacks. But they are slow and have to stop to attack which makes them horrible DG attackers. They are a bit on the mana intensive side as well. I wouldn't mind them not being able to run and attack if the had more HP and dealt like 50% more dmg.
TB is a good creep supporter but still 2nd to QoT. TB's AoEs cover much less ground compared to QoT's. Does TB's auras affect creeps as well?
That's only if the doubles are following each other around. Sure their strengths are buffed when working together but so are their weaknesses. For UB, ranged DGs tend to work rather well as debuffing their speed. I've heard what a coordinated quad reg team can do and that is near unstoppable unless you happen to have either Heal, Bramble Shield, or Oak Shield. And even then it's pretty tough.
I don't think a tutorial would be all that helpful. What would be helpful though is togglable popup tips. Explaining the use of flags and warscore and creeps and such when you hover over them every once in a while.
yea ddd888 you kinda need to back it up with a reason or explanation. I have been on both sides of doubles and triples and have had no problems. Nor did anyone else in any of those games. You might have to adjust your play style, but I tend to actually laugh if someone goes doubles or triples. It means that it'll be that much easier to handle each of them instead of having to prepare a rounded build to handle a bunch of different DGs.
There really isn't any reason to not allow doubles. Doubles do increase that DG's respective strengths but it also means that one counter can normally take them both out. Unless of course both doubles went with completely different builds. I've played against double tower rooks and unfortunately we didn't have anyone who could handle even one tower rook at the time. But if we had an ice TB or a good minion general we would of destroyed the other team hands down. People just lo
Generals are along the right side of the selection screen while assassins are along the left.
1. Not sure 2. I believe its either 20 or 30, but can't remember exactly 3. When you change targets, many times the first one or two auto attacks will miss completely no matter what. There's not much trick to it. It's just something you have to keep in mind and overcome. 4. Not sure about swift anklet but all other movement speed items increases minion speed as well. 5. Tower damage is considered regular physical damage so armor reduces it. This works the same
Generally I like saving up for bigger items sooner, but an early gadget in the right situation can be amazing
lol, oh totally She is actually probably the best creep supporter out of all the DGs. She can easily take down any other creep wave with 1 or 2 skills all cast within a second of each other. At the same time she debuffs whatever survives so that her own creep wave can do a minimum of double and triple damage. How would you like 2-4 giants hitting you for double damage. She just plays completely different from all the other DGs which seems to be more of a weaknes
lifekatana you really don't know what you're talking about on this one. I have never gotten more DG kills with any other kind of general build until I start speed stacking my minions to be able to outrun everyone else.
tis true as i am one of his fellow friends who uses this to great success on Oak.
Umm actually it doesn't make sense to change the towers of light to laser towers. As laser towers are known for attacking a single target with high precision and not dealing some crazy splash damage. In this case I would make the towers of light into rocket towers or plasma launchers or something that makes sense to have AoE. The archer towers on the other hand could easily pass as laser towers since they deal no splash. Or they could be cool minigun towers.
Faster minions means you can't escape the 10+ minions chasing you down. Who cares about 2k or 3k hp minions if they only move as fast as the Rook. They may be good at taking on structures but that's it and that won't get you any gold. By level 10 Erebrus can deal 1k DPS with his 10 night walkers alone, plus all his other 6 idol minions. So would you rather have 1k+ DPS that has to stand still and can't kill DGs or would you rather have 1k+ DPS that can hunt down any DG that thinks it can take
The gave out 50% coupon codes after the first month of the game being released. But the codes were only valid for a week or less and then expired. Even if someone had an unused code it work as they are all expired. But maybe in the future there will be 10% or even a 20% coupon that will resurface? In the mean time you can play the demo that was recently released.
You can fix a lot of this by not caring about stats and just play to have fun. Live for each individual victory as if it could be your last. Oddly I haven't run into any problems like this though. Just be sure to triple check anyone you try to add to the list. There are actually good players out there who are honest and have some pretty high win ratios.
Umm yea what AoE are you ganna use on a 1.2k minion? And those speed items aren't the only thing you can afford since they are rather inexpensive. 3 Speed buff items cost 8650 gold + lvl4 idols 6560 gold. That isn't all that much gold for late game and you can pretty easily afford a few HP items. Then again who cares if all your minions die. So long as they don't die in a time of need, you can get them all back with just 1 or 2 creep waves. I play Oak minions a bunch and like
It will likely have more customization than most games. The problem is that it will all require some higher level knowledge and experience. The good side to that is that mostly only decent map makers will make maps and such.
Potions are no where near overpowered. And he was probably using the artifact potions which do cost at least 1000 gold. These potions are extremely powerful but as soon as you use them you are out a huge amount of money. Just 1 is enough for 2-5 lesser potions or light armor, or cap locks...
Wow that's some awesome work there! Myself and a friend were looking into replacing most of the models with gundam themed units and mobile suits once the mod support came out.
