Third, who cares what it's called...? I could make an equally strong case that they rename it the Confetti Missile on the grounds that it would be amusing.
What an interesting idea. We the people demand THIS. Sorry for DP
To the OP: No
this whole thread is pretty stupid it hasbeen poorly set up and the teams are on on different times so it wont work
Then gtfo if you don't like it. I hope Jesus finds you and kills you with a piece of broken ceramic.
Ya Frogboy mentioned this in his brainstorming journal I think (the most recent one). But do you guys really want this? There should deffinetly be a thresh-hold to keep people from going "I GOT FB'D, BAI". Turn arounds are common, and truly it would be the noobs that disappear after FB. But something doesn't sit right with me about it... should be like: You can forfeit IF there is a difference in War Rank greater than 3, or if your teams combined DG lvl is 6 lvls lower than the other
Yeah well by the looks of it there have only been 6 of the 2v2 teams actually play... So thats a bit dissapointing me and Kriptanik were looking forward to some good matches.
We can scrimmage if you'd like some competitive play. PM myself or adotbonee or add us in game and we can set one up. Naz
Online video game players are more sensitive than 14-year old girls there's no easy way to tell them, 90% they'll react at any hint of criticism despite the fact that they are 0-5 and severely underleveled . The only way to go about it is to boost them up on some other aspect, like say "hey your flag capping has been great, you should try and maneuver around to flags that they aren't holding and cap them". Naz

Haha I didnt know about either of those. That's deffinetly a quick fix with coding -- no way erebus should be getting exp and gold for suicide/team kill. Oak's thing I've seen and used, and I agree it's unfair. Last Stand should disable his ability to attack structures. Naz
Wow, a lot of feedback to the OP (which is nice), but too much to read. I'll give mine and my apologies if it's a repeat: Pushing: As you described, either you or rook could have been right. It depends on what point in the game it was, and whether or not the towers before THEIR portal flag were down. As a group of 3, they would have no problem steamrolling your the towers around your celerity or gold mine flag (depending on which end you were). If 2 of you went while the towers were u
Though I've been incredibly critical of SD and directed that at Frogboy lately, that sounds like a good, rational list of things to get through. Connection info, simspeed and upstream data on all players will certainly alleviate a lot of problems in matchmaking and custom games. Still hungering for arranged-team matchups and a functional pantheon. Accurate, permanent record = /drool like it tho. Naz
That could work, but I agree with bug. i think the best idea would be a team-wide cooldown on certain abilities that kick in when it is cast the 3rd time. Having 2 regulus snipes, or 2 UB spits is 'fair' in my books. Having a 3rd is pretty whack as you have obviously just seen. the system should recognize that if an ability is used twice within the last Xseconds on the SAME target, it is unavailable to be cast on that target for the next Xseconds so that the third person canno
I don't know if that's technically possible (I've never seen a game load screen with chat enabled) but you're deffinetly right. I play with friends and we use Ventrillo, and the loadscreen is a great time to decide who's going to lock Flag X and figure out who should be buying the first mint upgrade. Deffinetly a good suggestion if it's possible. Would make random ally matchups that much more competitive. Naz
I thinks releasing 2-3 heroes and 1-2 maps in the next month is going to be crucial for the lifespan of this game.
how does that make sense? Master the 8 you have..
Uh Losing is a piss off. No one wants to lose, it just wouldn't make sense. If you are compeptitive, the whole point is to win / not lose. It doesn't ruin your life, but it is the worst possible outcome in the context of a game so you avoid it like the plague. @ Tidus: Myself, aodtbonee and toopuretodie are all very skilled players. We play together and have a vent channel for games. We'd be glad to add you into the mix. If you'd like we could set up some internal 2v2s to
I thought you'd be interested to know that I was woken up this morning, quite hungover, by a text message from aodtbonee that simply said: "fucking giants" lol. Good luck in the rest of the tournament. Naz
GG to Baalz and Psisolider who beat myself and aodtbonee tonight. Very good match and their comeback victory really taught us something about our own play style and some things we're gonna steal from them. GG guys. Naz
It's also amusing how you haven't even touched on the issue of actual cheating in your rules.
.... I don't know of any cheating that exists. I doubt players could use any kind of hax, the game is so buggy that interaction with third party software would probably crash the game and blow up your computer. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone in the tournament would be down for some practice 2v2s tonight? I should be on for most of the evening to add me to your friends
You've always been able to get your money back, so this statement has no legs to stand on.
That wasn't part of my OP, and I'm not gonna argue the validity of that comment. Thank you for trying to be the truth-police though, "taking tertiary comments and correcting them out-of-context one step at a time!" In any case, I'm sorry if this post is in the wrong forum. My justification would be that the the subject is ideas about Demigod, it's just not proposing a
That's fine and good, what more do you want from him?
Make a game that works. Accept his responsibility as the mouthpiece of an organization that accepted the community's hard-earned money as payment for a product that was, excuse my language, a flying pile of smoldering dog ****. Being truly inconsiderate, imo, is exchanging the failure that was this game's release version for real money. Naz
Frogboy's update yesterday contains an issue which I think could be easily clarified between the community and SD -- or at least to me seems like an issue with an obvious answer, so I quote Frogboy at length:
One of our frustrations (and this is one of the reasons I’m not a fan of MP games in the first place) is how inconsiderate some people are. We spent a lot of time trying to figure out why people were getting “disconnected” right when a
My suggestion means there are no upper tiers of each type of idol, but there are many more types of idols for you to pick three from at any one time. This way, generals can augment themselves and their small army with various effects depending on the situation of the fight.
Ah. I did misunderstand. that works too! Still, no chickens though, lol! Naz
interesting. I haven't found what you're describing, I do get the sense something like this happens when DG models overlap (or maybe it happens in my brain and feels like its happening in the game) and you click to heal on a silouhette. Naz
will do. I'll be on from 5:00pm EST - well, whenever i fall alseep this week. Would love to get some games in with you guys before the tournament, as I've read/heard you're pretty freaking good. Naz
