Well I might aswell try to give this thread a positive spin again so: Does anyone else think the "not satisfied, money back" guarantee is not well known enough? I had seen frogboy mention it unnoticably once or twice before, but didn't really know about it till this thread. I think they should advertise with it a bit more. Maybe they don't do that on purpose, as many people might play it for a month or two and then ask a refund. But I think it's a unique selling p

Indeed it was news to me too. I think the game industry would solve half of the piracy problem as you could just play the game as a demo and then decide if you want your money back or not. Problem would still be singple player games which most game junkies play all the way through in two weeks tops. To the one quoting me, it's not a twisted justification I was posting, it was simply my reason for pirating. The point is that most game developers would do good to actually
Well I share half of your concerns. I haven't played enough to know about 'balance' issues as far as AI goes, but sometimes it does act plain rediculous. I play easy AI while learning the game a bit and expect them not to be all that clever, but my teams AI players tend to just stand near the citadel for 2+ minutes, the same at flags, not attack enemy DGs shredding our towers, walk past enemy owned flags while no enemy is around (in other words: easily cappable), or just all swamp one side of

Many others would not have such a code of conduct though, which is just the reality of the human condition. In any case, welcome to the game! * More content (demigods, maps, especially) * Better AI (sometimes demigods stand near the shrine for 2 minutes doing nothing, make them respond to portals that have been taken, etc, they don't seem to care much) * UI improvements, as to make the game more intuitively commandable (I bet that isn't proper english). See the irish dude for some tips.
Hmm I kind of agree with you, but don't think they will implement it. We live in a 'winner takes all' world. Though only 10 favor points seem rather harsh for such a long match. I could imagine implementing some favor for time played might also do the trick, let's say 5 favor for every 10 minutes played.
so worst case ("complicated reaction") it's 384 ms, half of the 800ms that was posted. The point is, it doesn't take any flipping 800 ms to respond to stimulus no matter how you look at it. Being off by (at least) a factor of 2 is pretty darn significant, and generally that happens when you pull numbers out of your arse. 75% of all statistics are made up, you know. This is why it is not a favor reward, and it would be very problematic.
It's not a gain, it's an equalisation. Review this simple lay out, using simplified numbers: A random damage god doing 100 points of damage gets 100 favor points. A Sedna doing 100 dam

As stated before ping says nothing about the quality of the connecting, just something about routing (distance). It's a simple calculation of how long data at it's traveling speed takes to cover the distance from peer to peer. This has nothing to do with gaming, it's universal in all networking. When you type in google.com in your browser you also have a short delay equal to how long the data packets take to get from your pc to google's server and back. Ofcourse that's not the whole story, yo

I agree with all your points, especially the heal-by-icon and having all your heroes onscreen and also to be able to see if they are dead or not (with countdown). You can probably see the hp bars of your minions with the ~ key, but it'll still be hard to see how many you have under control.
