Keep in mind HoL doesn't work in combat. What this means is, even if they have super omega large health, they will still run out of mana fast if they have low mana. If you are in combat, HoL doesn't do you squat. And if regulus is doing that to towers, he'd be ganked in a hurry. If the other team is allowing him, then they've probably already lost at this point in the game.

I just hate it when my ally dies several times in a row due to mad 1 vs 3 strats or "l33t" sacrifices to down towers. (Of course, an enemy demigod will be by to take credit from those) The last game I played, we weren't even at level 10, and the tb on our team had died 11 times. He'd go to where the most demigods were, fire circle, and proceed to get destroyed. Everytime I asked him to stop, he'd say, "Oh yeah? What are YOU doing for the team?" My reply was

Good guide, and thanks for putting a nice spin on the ooze build! :D If I could though, I'd like to question two things. (I'd mention post mortem and plauge too but... meh, the good and bad reasons of choosing them sorta even each other out) Firstly, why did you buy scalemale as a first item? I assume you do it to help at the beginning, but you could easily replace that with a flag cap, tele scroll, or just save the money. For an ooze UB, armor does nothi

This is a good guide for those that want to try it, but bestial wraith does suck up tons of mana. I'd recommend starting with ooze first and then getting bestial wraith when you say to get ooze. (In other words, replace the two skills) Ooze is a lot more handy dandy early on for survivability and creep killing, while you'll have a bit of a hard time killing someone with the 7 second duration of bestial wraith, combined with the fact you won't be able to use it very much.&nbs

[quote who="Kalizaar" reply="12" id="2231756"]I'm thinking I didn't clarify enough. I'm suggesting the death timer starts out low and builds longer as the game progresses and/or your level increases. By the time you're beating on a citadel the death timer would be the same as it is now. It's the early game that would have a short timer. "Underdog" code is fluid, not permanent. It's also comparatively small. It won't make the losing side more powerful than the winning sid

Thanks for the props and comments/suggestions so far! There's just so many ways spit can be negated and dealt with, it's always better imo to have a sure-fire way to win in duels as UB. Sure you won't do anything against buildings, but you'll be too busy being ninja and getting kills to care, and all demigods are better than UB against buildings anyways. :D

It goes to 664 damage max rank, although I only get one rank anyways for the interupt/stun. And once oak shields nothing can damage him, however foul grasp will still stun him (Take that you shield/heart of life oak wannabies! ) and bite along with other abilities will still slow him, but he won't take damage. <

As it has been said life steal items are so expensive that you might as well have lost by time mageslayer or ashkandor come around. (And it sounds like the UB had both) These two items up weapon damage so much you would die without the lifesteal anyway. Besides, it does take up 2 armor slots, meaning he had to toss away something like health to get them. Foul grasp doesn't do lifesteal from items, it's part of the skill itself. [quote who="sschrupp" reply="8" id="2231465"]Rage quitting in Pantheon would start to go away and/or not matter if they made a few changes such as making the death timer scale with level, starting lower and working up higher either with deaths and/or with level, as well as scaling the xp/gold gain. Reading these forums and going by my own experiences there are just some things that make the game not very fun at times. 1. Length of time it takes to actually play. Obv

Transitive, you can't just make up the health of the enemy. If you have 4k health but 5 ka billion armor it's not going to do squat. Most demigods have a burst damage spell they can and will fire off every 6 or 7 seconds. For those that stack health, you aren't even taking into ammount their massive regain compaired to yours. Let's use your example, although an ooze UB would do some more damage to ya. If that level 7 UB's spit is in fact rank 3, and you really

[quote who="Milskidasith" reply="11" id="2229286"] Quoting transitive, reply 1020%? from what? rank 3 Diseased Claws gives 10%. its perfectly reasonable to escape from a UB. Warpstone, Cloak of Night, Bat Swarm, Wand of Speed, or someone using their own slowing effects before running. its somewhat harder to escape Beast than other DG's but certainly not impossible. and if you're playing a ranged attacker you might just be ki

With ooze at least it's important to have enough hps so you are not LOSING health per second. And with unbreakable boots and hauberk you actually gain hp per second even with ooze. And it's a lot more than 300 hp. Your math is right but a second when it comes to hps is a lot faster than an actual counting second. With the Hauberk at least, if I am not being attacked, I'll refill 1k health in about 30 seconds of not being attacked.

I don't start locking portals unless they are completely owning our base or we are about to push their base. Otherwise, the most important flag to cap early game (considering the reinforcement flag is hard to get that early) is the life flag. The life flag makes a HUGE difference on if you and your team can win some fights. Of course the last game I tried the other team claimed I was hacking because "omg there's like 2 of us at the flag you just got and it isn't turning ha

And what if it is an accident? It is rare, but sometimes ooze does suicide you without you trying. Same thing with poisoned blood, if I'm low health and see a potion and I decide to grab it and it's poisoned, the entire other team shouldn't get gold for it.

21 Replies 8,785 Views

Well I get both of them anyway, they are great together, even though I never need mana. Basically it is whatever one I can afford first, but 250gp for an extra 5 hps is pretty good imo.

Yup, can't wait until they fix this. I told the other team I was going to quit when I played a game last night, but I got chewed out and called a rage quitter, even though they had been farming our AI player, because even when you hit end game it sometimes makes the players wait 30 seconds for you to leave. Of course, this WON'T stop rage quitters. The only thing it will fix is when dumb players rage quit now the entire team can just give up and save the who

I have a inkling that somehow the new demigod will be named "Frogboy", and be able to spawn giant frogs and etc.

I also misunderstood the post title. :D I thought you meant we should change builds halfway through the game, like if you suddenly had 5 skills in fire as TB and decided that fire wasn't working so you went all to frost. XD I guess I don't get to ninja this thread with a wall of text now. :( But yeah, it surprises me what some people do thinking every build will work. You'd be surprised how many people do a pure spit build for UB when there's 2 Sedn

Well, I got a little confused as you said the scalemale armor at level 20 gives 400 more hitpoints than banded armor, which doesn't really make sense because you'd never have scalemail at that level. It seems like you're justyfying an armor/health combo endgame which I can somewhat agree with, but once again at this point all power skills will be in the 1500 range. It depends on what demigod I'm fighting, but I'd rather have 7k health and tons of regain than 5k health and tons of

If you go ooze I almost never get heart of life, I find I just don't need it because I'm stacking health anyway, but this greatly depends on map size. (I mostly do Cataract and the base is pretty close by so I don't usually get HoL) I'd definately not combo it with the orb of defiance though, it takes up 2 slots, (you'd have to give up tele scrolls or flag caps, which are both essential imo) and by the time orb of defiance has ended a good team will have another guy port or run up to yo

From looking at the OP it seems that he must have played players that simply didn't know what they are doing. If you claim that UB is overpowered please provide us with the health of you/your enemy as a reference. If you kill someone with 4k health he's definately not doing things right. UB is not overpowered at all, if you still think so my anti-UB guide in the pinned section on the top of the strat forums might help a bit, but here's some more tips. Basically, UB

For ooze and UB especially I would go health. And, I'm sorry Lord, but armor as UB completely stinks. UB has low health which makes him vulnerable to burst damage. A 1050 fireball will still do 1050 damage (even though it shouldn't really, might get patched at some point) even if you have 4,000 armor or -300 armor. This includes all demigod spells.

I've always gotten boots. Plus I hate the wand of speed bug where when you activate it it makes you stop in your tracks. And I know they are a good combo transitive, it's just that post mortem isn't really "needed" compared to my priority of getting other skills first. I do get it endgame though, which by that point it does help against larger creep waves, but creeps die so fast before then anyway I usually just ooze creeps.
