Full patch notes anywhere? Played one game and proxies still add 200 ping to us players in Europe; what happened to the mechanism to choose the proxy server closest to you? Really expected that to be in this patch.
I bought Medieval Total War II to try out the series...and found it just a pain in the arse to move around those units and run my empire, it just seemed unintuitive. I heard they improved some aspects of this for Empire but won't try it until they've fixed all the bugs. I hope there are options to automate some of the more mundane things once you've given them some direction, so the player can concentrate on strategy. Haven't played any Civ game for a while but I'

And the animation of hammer slam looks pretty bad if you view it from the side in slomo ... kinda jerky at exactly the wrong moment. I wish I could disable the gui.
You're right about the jerks in the movement. Also they might have added a gre
Going through proxy servers won't lower the bandwidth requirement at all afaik. It's still the same amount of data going between players, just via another route.
Click connection info in the bottom right of your screen, it tells you how everyone is connected. Proxies may only be adding 20 to your ping if you're in the US already....the problem is that say two players from the EU are connected via proxy, and they're being sent to a server in the US, there's a ping of about 100 added each way. Player A has to talk to the proxy server, then the proxy server has to talk to player B. So it adds 200ms effectively I t
Demigod, being a game that is synchronous (what you see on the screen is the same as what other people see) uses 1k per second up to over 20k per second as you add players. And it’s not linear. I.e. it takes a lot more to handle 8 people than 6 people and a lot lot more to do 10 people than 8.
Not sure I understand the numbers here. Are you saying 20k per second is the max bandwidth required to run Demigod? Or
Release date is tomorrow (22nd). I know Amazon dispatched my copy in the UK today so looks like it's all running on time.

Sorry, but if you have never heard of Edge, then I am not sure who is crappy... And from Edge, a 7/10 is pretty good.
What he said. Edge has been around something like 15 years and for me it's the only games magazine worth b
