Not by much. It'd happen for everyone. Actually, I've never heard this before. Where did you hear it?
http://forums.demigodthegame.com/355935
Based on player request, people finishing the game get 40 extra participation points.
Clearly the awards will still matter, but you have to admit that if you win you're pretty much going to be able to buy whatever you want after a handful of games, so while the scoreboard still might not be all that flattering, you won't real

Okay, a couple things I haven't seen brought up yet, but I apologize if they were as I only read about 70% of the thread and skimmed the rest. First off participation favor is getting boosted by 40, so the proportion of favor gained from playing to actually winning awards will be less prohibitive for support players. Why has no one mentioned the root of the problem - sedna doesn't do enough damage. The yetis are are good candidates for improvement

Personally I'd love to see the black made transparent if that's possible and a bit of fade of the boxes, but regardless I'd be ecstatic if this were put in game.
Mentioned above, the idea of the skill point not being finalised until the window is closed is an acceptable method for confirmation as this does not alter the game's behaviour for the players who do not want an additional dialogue box.
Having to close the window would be an additional keystroke or click just the same as a confirmation box, though... unless mine's bugged, because it auto-closes for me when I run out of points to spend (which is fine, personally I wouldn't
The last paragraph was just to show how ridicous this type of a request seems to me. I doubt anyone took my last paragraph seriously. Though I agree it was poorly worded. Now if only I could heal my teammate in close proximity with ease instead of playing the select and pray its him and not automaticly you.
I agree 100x over. For the love of god at least some friendly rook transparency would go a long way. I died a couple times in a game I
And the "it's a game, not a sport" thing is silly. Demigod is very obviously intended to be both. That a some of you (and I) suck too much to play it as a sport doesn't mean others shouldn't.
You're putting the cart before the horse. The game needs a bigger playerbase and more balance tweaks to be a sport. We're all talking about a balance tweak here. Also the mechanics of most games make comebacks way more feasible than they are in this one at the moment.

Well if they do decide to divert funds from this game's continued development and move on, I really hope they consider creating an expansion at some point in time. This game has all the nuts and bolts of a great game except the connectivity (the lobbies work great for me thoug). It really is incredibly fun, and that's saying something because most multiplayer games don't really get good until they've gone through a number of post-release balance iterations. I think an expa
Keep the panel open to rechoose thing is better, but I don't think many people are going to use it and as vastep noted, there are more important things to deal with now.
Why does that matter? Does the networking guy necessarily work on the UI, do the character designers for new DGs? Maybe they do, maybe they don't, I have no way to knowing how many hats everyone wears at SD/GPG. That being said, it wouldn't have to be an annoying dialogue box, and there could
to extend the metaphor: what if it was chess? should a player start getting his pieces back if his opponent takes too many of them? free Pawn back every time you lose a Bishop? opponent has to give up a Rook if he takes your Queen but still has his own?
You do realize you can concede any time you want in chess right? You also realize a computer AI can beat a grand master at chess, don't you? I can't think of an example which is more clearly the opposi

I think a lot of people who have negative things to say about the game are only posting here because they like the game and want it to improve. The average guy who logs on once, hates it, and then never plays again probably isn't going to make an account and write about how it sucks. Just assume complainers have lots of nice things to say about all the stuff they're not complaining about. :)
I do not want the development team working on such a small detail, prefer they stick to developing more maps/demigods and improving MP performance.
How do you know the guy who would be making a new DG is the one who would adjust the UI?
Why not have a confirm dialogue? IMO (but most likly the majority of all players) it would be more annoying picking a skill then you get an additionaly click a confirm option after choosing.
Wow Csebal, really?. That was quite the post. Please, enlighten all of us. Obviously most games end in about 30 mins. It wasnt like that one of my first 5 games played. It was a match out of the norm that we both mutually felt deserved a post. Did we ask for a basic explanation of how games should play out? The match was just different than your average Demigod game. Not a cry of, Oh help me with the game, we don't know how to play.
Well
Seems like a pretty pointless argument to say, "one guy said he goes with no skills and said he did well" and proceed to worry about it. Reg is the most obvious character to focus on auto attacking because his skill cooldowns are long and one of his skills directly impacts his attack damage. This just seems like a case of stubbornness for the sake of being stubborn.
You're either making a strawman argument or you're misinterpreting me. My argumen
AF uses mana. Plus "AA" builds almost always end up using MoB and Snipe as supporting skills, and if you are going to use AF, MoB, and Snipe you are going to tear through mana like you wouldnt believe
Not to be terse, but you and I aren't talking about the same thing. On the third or fourth post someone mentioned a build in which they spend only one point in snipe (inexplicably since it's wasted late game) and use no other activated abilities. They're not using

If they do that then they need to put armor values helms, gloves, and boots because high armor values are the only things keeping late game auto-attack inflation in check.
AI will never be as good as a human without 'cheating'
You can download a free chess program that can beat grand masters, I don't think the AI can't be made competitive. That being said, I'd be fine with it just cheating. Just make AI controlled characters give half gold and make them level up faster when they're more than 2-5 levels (the specific number isn't the point) behind the average player level.
Complexity is not learning that you have to press 1 click, press 2 click or whatever to do damage. Just because you have to press a number key and then wait for a cooldown in one build and you dont in the other isnt really true complexity. The complexity of DG comes from working with your team, developing strategies for your team and the DGs used on both teams, understanding the necessary builds etc etc. An AA Reg is just as complex in all the things that really make

Alright, I tested it out a bit, and the way shatter works with Frost Nova is it only consumes the snare, not the stun, which means a max of x3. It's possible that it used to consume the stun as well, which would cause the x4 multiplier, but currently it's not possible.
