Awww shucks tanx! By the by, await my new DA submission it'll be a screenshot--love it so much I had to do a screenshot with your wall, and an Adni skin
Lady_Akasha
A lil utility called "Snag it" works great too. But what Jafo said is the cheapest way.
Nikos like several other artist's is now at DA, and you can find his page here http://www.adni18.deviantart.com, I've also seen at the Aston site a couple of beautiful skins he did over there, but they too can be found at his DA page--I swear there's nothing that man can't skin.
Pictoratus-- You deserve it sweetie! That was one INCREDIBLE wall. I have it on my desktop since I saw it the first time on DA! That wall definitely deserved featured skin. Aint a thing wrong with a lil braggin', I felt the sa
Well Akasha just learned something.... I read the comments on that link, and I have this to say, my 'theory' obviously has loop holes. I am woman enough to admit it. I guess one theory can't apply to EVERY rule, I still stand by my theory, however I guess the loophole is in a case such as this skin that was mentioned on the previous page. I personally couldn't have said MOST of the those mean com
Congrats on the new house! May you have many years of happiness in it. Hurry back!
Ok now I feel whoozy! Dang it my tendonitis is acting up (Just joshing) Grayhaze I seriously think that in several areas of this discussion we were just not 'getting' one another. Because in your last post I'm reading it and thinking on a lot of it--I AGREE! And I haven't neccessarily been DISagreeing 'that' much.
# 52 Grayhaze I think the users have things the wrong way round. They somehow feel that us skinners owe them something for the time they've taken to look at your work, when really it's they who owe something (if only a little respect) for the time we've taken to create something for them, regardless of the outcome. With you saying that in truth i
wouldn't it just be simpler to get STYLE XP? Then all the porting? The program is real cheap. And use the xp when you like a theme, and then WB when you like a theme? If I remember right (it's been a while) I think you get the program for a month for free before you have to pay for it, and it's fully usable.
P.S. That same person would never dream of writing a letter to their next door neighbour to tell them their house is a mess or that their garden's ugly. I would! If that person is nasty and has all their junk in the front yard...or something of the like, they're devaluing the worth of my property! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/i
Aye did I get myself in a pickle or what? (not that doesn't mean that I take back anything I said.) First off, GRAYHAZE let me say this before anything else. "My points were not neccessarily a jab at you. I don't know you enough to do that. Two, your incident is as I mentioned before; This person was obviously very contradictory. Secondly, the fact that they did that via email rather than on the actu
:hugs: to you Gypsy. I'm sorry to hear that.
I'm so confused here. I thought poor Gypsy is talking about THIS SITE? yes, no? I don't think she's talking about SD.
Wow. Kudo's to you. That takes a lot of courage.
37 by JourneyMan grayhaze - 6/18/2003 5:52:06 AM As for those people who think it's right for someone to comment that a skin 'sucks', you obviously hold little pride in the work you do. I completely 100% disagree on that statement. What does someone having the right to say they utterly dislike a piece have to do with one having or not having pr
@ Jafo Thanks a lot, GM-- I had that button too...now it's gone.
lol nope... I am too.
P.S. Again I add, that email was very contradictory.
Why should an artist receive a not so favorable comment? Umm because there is no such thing as making something EVERYONE will like, or think is great. That is ridiculous! Why doesn't the person who thinks 'it sucks' have a right to say...'it sucks'? And I am sorry, as much as I do like this site--there is little room for the TRUTH. If someone actually said, "This is really awful" to a fellow artist it would be uproar! Bottom line is; EVERY artist makes SOMETHING that
No dinner for me, thanks. Not feelin' so good.
well that was a contradictory email. However--why can't an artist get an email that says 'it's awful' no one is 'that' great that everyone will think 'everything' they make is 'spectacular'. I'm sure every artist has had to experience a biting comment. As they should...it's humbling.
#22 by Gypsy Darla - 6/17/2003 1:46:57 AM Sometimes ppl need a reminder... here it is Ouch! I think you've been told hon.
Oh yeah... Anthony Roberts cracks me up
I have to say this.... 1. I agree with Karma-- "They never should have cut their hair" Doesn't change the sound, but can look yummy (actually the lead singer in reality looks better with the short) 2. I also agree w
Definitely modified--drastically
