good set of reviews. you had the whole spectrum covered: 1 fanboy, 1 hater, and 1 objective reviewer. comparing all three, you get a very good idea of the strengths and weaknesses of the game and more importantly what kind of player the game would appeal to. i think everyone has gotten waaay too hung up on this Moo3 vs. GalCiv thing. who cares what they rated Moo3? cheers h

if you're running XP SP1 and don't have the CD "handy", you can find NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM in: C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386 and a backup of boot.ini ( boot.ini.backup ) in: C:\WINDOWS\pss ( this directory may not exist for some ) i copied these files into C:\ and had no problems. this was after Brad so kindly deleted them for me. thank god i was read the notice before rebooting. cheers h
i'm getting aboput 45-50K on my cable, which is better than the 1st server. but my connection has been kinda sluggish all evening so i doubt it's stardock's fault. still means > 2hrs for the media files. :p cheers h

judging from the most recent game example, i don't think they can get an alliance victory. way to read the post, freya. :p
i just tried the demo. brilliant game. the rules are very simple, but it allows for very complex strategy. most excellent strategy games are like that. i hope galciv is as well. cheers h

cool, thanks. i just have a pet peeve wrt poorly justified strategic devices being thrown into games ( e.g. harvesting crystals in order to construct tanks ). cheers h
hi, this is my first post and i haven't played the betas or anything, but i've been lurking for a bit and i've read through all the encyclopaedia docs. i think this game looks amazing, but i have one nagging question. my question is this: what are the "resources" supposed to be? i think understand what they do and how they affect the game, but i feel it's important that there be some kind of reason or rationale to have these magical "resources" floating out in the middle of interstellar
