I'll be begging for support until all my ships and planets properly load their images without saving, exiting, and reloading
This is the one bug they said they could NOT fix without a major (paid) upgrade. I believe it has to do with the 2D vs. 3D graphics engine. :(
Shark Hunter
Bump Bump Bump on the tech turns or number of credits to complete.
Where did the delete game button go? I can't find it since I upgraded and deleting the files manually is a pain.
The research screen should show the number of credits needed to complete the research. I spend way too much time tweaking sliders now.
I have the same issue with my son. We both play and he would like to submit and track his own scores. Two earlier comments, #4 and #14, seem to think this should work, here is a quote from the FAQ: 3) You can only have 1 player name registered at a time. Let's say you have submitted 2 scores. The first score submitted using the player name of "The Mighty Drengin" and the second score was submitted under the player name of "Sneaky Sam". And on the Metaverse you have r
I have had problems in the past submitting scores. I had a mistake in my alias name that caused me to loose several games. I have tried to submit this last game several times without success. I assume that if I had an anomalous score it would still show up but with a score of zero, is this true? It sure would help if there were a submission log file or something to see why the submission fails, the only feedback today is the successful submission message --- and then nothing shows up in Metavers
I looked on the linked page and I could not find the zip file to download the game (:( Can you cross link the file to here or tell me where to find it? Thanks in advance
I have been trying to hold out for the final release of the expansion pack. But I have not been on a good shark hunt for several months and I just love fried Space Shark. I may need to cough up that $30. Any update on the official release?
While we are at it, It would be nice to know how many credits are needed to complete an item - For example, I want to finish a research project next turn. Currently I modify the sliders (which update the credits spent on research next month) and change over to the research page to see if it will still complete. I do this over and over until I determine exactly how many credits are needed. If the research page showed how many more credits are needed I would not need to do this. If I reme
CariElf, No the trade good was not built yet. I am always able to select it again and pick up where I left off. Bonscott mentioned going to the detail screen as reseting the build queue. I noticed this also; I set production to a trade good, move to detail screen and change governor to an empty queue, go back to main and have to reset the trade good selection. I still think reloading games also resets the queue.
What is your definition of Mid-West?
I know what he means... At the end of the game you need to put in your alias and email address for submission. I also mistyped my alias the first time. I found the name in the registry and removed it but the UI did not change (:( Does anyone know, can you setup two alisas for one account? My son and I both play the game and he would like to post scores as well
I have seen a related problem. :( I have GNN reports off, I tell a planet to develop a trade good or capital I come back a little later and find that the planet has switched to something else that was in the governor's queue. This seems to be a problem any time you add new items to the governor’s queue or reload a saved game. Oddly, If I add an item to the governor’s queue at a high priority he always seems to finish the low priority project it is working on first (he won't interrupt his own bui
You do need some control over fleet actions. I have a group of AAM's protected by a BattleHammer but every encounter with an enemy corvette cost me one more AAM. By the time I get to my target I don't have any AAMs left. Civ had the designated defender role which might help you could also have a "meta-ship" based on all the ships in a fleet. I know one reason behind the current game is that they don't want you to be able to build an "unstoppable" fleet.
I want to put a vote in for the rally point. Stars! had the route command for this exact purpose. I normally assign a few locations near my planets as rally points already. These can not be planets (CT's unload) and they can not be starbases (constructors want to enhance) So I pick an empty spot with a BattleHammer for protection. Constructors should also have a Guard/sleep mode so I don't have to tell them to do nothing each turn while I am building up a fleet.
The sharks were over hunted to meet the demand for shark-fin soup but I kept a couple of small ones because they looked so cute. I will release them into the wild once they grow up... Shark Hunter ;)
Have you discovered any other races? It could be that the stats show how you rank amoung all races but the overall show how you rank amoung the races you have met.
In two past games I stole numerous (more than 5) techs. I am playing with luck and creativity bonuses. I start espionage as soon as I discover the race and normally keep it on the first or second notch.
