In my last game I got the "There is something evil happening" 3 times... then Draginol takes over my planet a bit later.. Still its not all bad.. Just get your combat transports to get the population out as soon as you get the message so he only takes over a small pop, and when it happens invade with a comb transport that will lose (about half the pop size). Then ask for a peace treaty and pick up about 140,000 bc each time... then ivade with the other combat transports and you've saved the gal

The Expansion pack was available for 1.05 and includes the Excalibur Ship... Truly Awesome, just make sure you get it before the other races otherwise its curtains... I did have one interesting game where The Dread Lords or Draginol surfaced and was playing 18 Excaliburs to invade their colony.. Load it up well worth it. ;p

Blue steel, I think you are about right.. Adopting the strategy of maxing out on all the social and researching all the way just takes time unfortuneately.. I just finished one on Gigantic/Rare and got 16,940 points... but hitting the turn key lots in the latter stages of the game.. Still it all counts.

Cotal Research past final fromtier Also get ALL or most of anyway of your planets completing the social production.. it gets a bit boring, but increases the score. Cheers

What part of Suffolk Slitherin, I worked in Occuld near Eye for a while.. Spent a few nights getting drunk in Diss, well I think thats where I spent them, cos that's where I woke up.. All I remember about Suffolk was the sugar beet trucks and what a nuisance they were to pass on the country roads.

Thanks for the info guys and i'll certainly keep your invite in mind koala, although i don't have a very inventive nick at the moment... when i registered wasn't really paying attention i guess... I noticed it could be changed using Wincustomise, but I don't have that.. Is there any other way, without re-registering and losing my score?

Some good points above... Key ones I use.. Always trade mith minor planets only.. try and build up military so its at least as high as 1st... I tend to do defender, battleaxe, battlecruiser then battlehammer.. When you think you have enough of an edge over your nearest military rival i.e 2nd highest in strength.. attack at least 3 colonies at once, preferably those with high PQ value. Then try for peace treaty asap, and remember dont just go for a peace treaty but a

Thanks guys, I am having a problem submittinmg scores now i've downloaded 1.09a.. in fact the last 3 games I played 13,000 points plus each game have failed to hit the metaverse.. any ideas?
