That helps 'cause now I know how that goes but that doesn't change my calculations at all. Is there some other part I'm messing up on? Or is it a Metaverse mess up?
You calculations would change.. because you first block would be your scores from March 2nd to Feb 1st and your 2nd block would be anyscores before that

It's not a calendar month, it works backwards in blocks of 30 days from your last submission or when Stardock decide to do a recalc. Block 1 0-30 days 100% Block 2 31-60 days 95% Block 3 61-90 days 90% Block 4 91-120 days 85% Block 5 121-150 days 80% Block 6 151-220 days 75% Block 7 221-290 days 70% Beyond 290 days 65%? Hope this helps [Message Edited]
By the way, for empire purpose, the aging is 5% per month. For personnal score purpose, it is 10%
Its the other way round, 10% Empire score and 5% personal metaverse score
I posted this a month or so ago and the calc works fine for me. Block 1 0-30 days 100% Block 2 31-60 days 95% Block 3 61-90 days 90% Block 4 91-120 days 85% Block 5 121-150 days 80% Block 6 151-220 days 75% Block 7 221-290 days 70% Beyond 290 days 65%?
#4 by ABetterTomorrow - 2/14/2004 3:13:25 PM or give them away to the majors to improve relationships.I wouldn't recommend this because you can get techs from majors, and if your diplomacy is higher, and your abilites are higher, you get more. Besides, the majors are only good for cannon fodder.
I have to disagree with you here ABT.. By improving relationships, you dont get picked on by the majors and trade increases significantly.. It's a strategy, cer
If a new minor appear in a game... leave it a couple of years after you have researched some decent tech and maybe traded some as well.. Then go to the minor and you will be surprised how much cash you can get from them over a decent length of time.. quite often they help fund my end games
Yeah, it seemed to get fixed a few days ago. That's how I finally managed to work out the scoring calc.. Still don't know about the older than 290 days yet
apologies Kemperor, misunderstood what you were asking
On the higher difficulty levels it is worth colnising the PQ14's because quite often the AI will start colinisng them. This can lead to planets then being culture flipped.. Just something to keep a watch on
K Emperor Block 1 0-30 days 100% Block 2 31-60 days 95% Block 3 61-90 days 90% Block 4 91-120 days 85% Block 5 121-150 days 80% Block 6 151-220 days 75% Block 7 221-290 days 70% Beyond 290 days 65%?
I dont't bother with 13's but always 14's in my home "sectors". I also colonize whatever to extend range but only in the early game. in 1.49 AP there is no starbase maintenance it just costs you to build the starbases bexcept the first one.. Although there is an interesting "bugette" that if you are in the red, it says "Building this starbase will cost you 0bc you do not have enough credits"
Thanks Alex, I think I've finally worked it out after a bit of digging in an old thread, and after submitting my last game the following seems to be the calc.. Not sure if Stardock has been working on the calc but certainly my score has increased significantly recently. Thanks to everybody for their help and support... So if T-man could confirm this... Block 1 0-30 days 100% Block 2 31-60 days 95% Block 3 61-90 days 90% Block 4 91-120 days 85% Bloc
75% for meta,
I've checked this and it doesn't work for me.
Alex at what percentages?
Guy Thanks for the link, but the question is at what point does it stop being 5% and perhaps reduce by 10% or further. I'm aware of the degradation per month but there seems to be a distinct downward calc after about 6 months. All i'm after is the official calc.
I submitted a 60K game last night and my score went up by 1K.. I also had 2 scores slip into the "dead zone". Surely it's not that difficult for Stardock to publish the scoring calcs.
When does the minimum value come in? At the moment it seems to stop including scores after the 7th 30 day block
You will notice the colour change after an event happens where you have to choose a certain path. Depending on your choice and the value it will move your alignment accordingly once it reaches a certain point you go from being Evil to Neutral to Good.
Geoffrey Thanks for that. If you were to submit another score I would be interested to know what happens.. Scores normally don't change until your next submission,
try building a culture starbase in the appropriate sector, add some culture mods and gift it to them if you dont want them to flip. [Message Edited]
early on.. nano metal composition adv diplomacy interstellar refining + sensors all work well... later in the game I find there's no need cos you're about to win.. in AP in one of my games the drath gifted me 4996bcs for 2 turns.. Thanks, built 2 terror stars and bye bye
KEmperor I'm not sure at this stage thats why I've asked for clarification. The only way I can match my score (to within a couple of hundred) to that of the metaverse is by dropping my scores from 7th July and earlier
Is it possible to clarify the scoring calculation for both the metaverse and empire totals. I am having trouble reconciling my total to that of the metaverse with particular reference to scores submitted more than 6 months ago. Thanks
You need to mail the cra file with your saved game.
gifting say 20bc for 30 months works very well.. in nearly all cases you go from neutral to friendly
