I agree that the AI players trade with each other too freely. It makes them all bland and indistinguishable from each other. I stay ahead by never trading away techs, not even to a minor race. I'll give trade goods to a minor race in return for tech, but if you give away any tech to anyone, it's only a small matter of time until all the races have it. I would like to see less trading among the AI players. If they need some other advantage or adjustment to stay competitive in tech that

Of course, just saying it's leaking memory doesn't help much . . . is there any particular point at which you notice GalCiv II leaking memory? If you can isolate it, we can fix it. If not, it makes it that much harder. I have the same problem. Continuous degradation of performance over time. I wouldn't mind saving and rebooting occaision

Another bug: 15. I am extremely tired of the previous ship I had selected getting the same orders as the current ship. I don't know if this is for some reason intentional or a bug, but it's horrible. For example: I select a freighter and send it off to some destination planet. I then select a constructor and send it towards a starbase. The freighter gets the same orders for the starbase, as if it were selected still along with the constructor. It gets really bad when I'm moving lots o

Would be nice to be able to turn off the grid in the mini-map, or at least tone down the color. On the bigger maps, it's difficult to see anything except the grid when it's zoomed out. Yes, please!

First, my apologies if any of this has been mentioned elsewhere. I spent about an hour reviewing posts in this forum first, but there's a lot of information and I might have missed some. Second, I'm enjoying the game very much. Just because I have a long list of problems to report doesn't mean I haven't stayed up for 36 hours straight playing and having fun. All of these bugs were found in 1.0D1.007 and most were checked and still existed in 1.0D1.008. All are from play

I was going to mention this also. It's minor, but inconvenient. On a similar topic, it would be nice if some of the windows (like when entering username and password when starting a metaverse game) behaved normally - tab should take you between fields and enter should behave like clikcing on the Log In button.

Two main threads on this issue that I see. This one and http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GF&id=54969&MaxReplies= The issue is a bit clouded because we've got lots of people chiming in that have never been able to submit a score at all. Other issues. Still, there are obviously lots of us that are just recently not getting submissions to register with Metaverse. Has anyone had a successful submission since around mid-day 5/5?

As it is, auto-launch becomes more trouble than it's worth when you have lots of colonies. Too many little checkboxes to click on. Definitely would like a global toggle. And surely that would be a simple thing to code. And, eventually, of course things like transports and colony ships, that require user input, should never auto-launch. Or, if they do, there should be some way to set a default number of colonists and soldiers for each. Second part sounds like it would be non-tri

I'm eager too for the scoring changes to be applied to old metaverse scores. If it turns out for some reason to not be possible, I'd even be satisfied with a complete wipe and a fresh start. Heh, imagine the complaining then. It would be worth it though. I've been playing a lot lately in 1.03 and while I wouldn't say I'm a very good player, it is annoying to be getting better while at the same time steadily sliding DOWN the ladder each time I submit a game. My score is getting worse.<br

I like the idea that there's an effort being made to prevent cheesily inflated scores. I don't like playing a long, difficult game and getting slammed for it. Ideally, there's some intelligent balance between the two. I'll hold off on any actual complaining until I've played a lot more though. See how it goes. :)

Alphabetize the military govenor's lists of ships. Add scrollbars to the military govenor's lists of ships. Full screen version of the minimap. Don't listen to all the complaints about wasted resources. Changing it would mean more micromanagement, of which there is enough already, or risking problems and imbalances with the AI players. Fix whatever it is that is causing valid games to end up as Anomalous and with a score of zero on Metaverse. Happened to me tw

I had that also on one of my games. Score of zero and difficulty anamolous. Also a victory by Beyond Human. Annoying because it was a very difficult game and I was pleased with myself for winning. I haven't used any mods at all yet. This was just after updating to 1.03whatever. Since then I've got a cultural victory that shows up correctly. I still have the save game. Will send it to you, Toadguy. Liosliath
