Galactic Map, metaverse? in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

How exactly does the Galactic Map work? Do Empires actually fight over sectors, or does it just assign them territory based on score? ~SDC~

A few questions... in Strategies Stardock Forums

Is there any way to affect what laws are comin up in the UP? I've heard that good and evil get different techs (i.e. if you turn evil you have access to different tech choices than if you had gone good)...examples please? What, exactly, does the creativity trait do? What is an example of something usually unavailable that my creativity would get me? ~SDC~

I actually I gree, I tend to get the message "You are soooo much better at diplomacy that you could trade them a pile of goose turds for 3 planets" or whatever that "good diplomacy" message is, and i have good relations, but, hey, I'll give you 4 techs for those 2? No...how about 5? No...ummm 5 and some cash? Soon enough I get fed up, if I'm such a good diplomat why am I getting treated like a disingenuous used car salesman. ~SDC~
