Loved the DG community but the original oldies I knew (Shedding, Boxleitner, Shadow, Rapier, Dustbin, etc.) migrated elsewhere and the community kept shrinking, along with GPG/Stardock being about a YEAR late on the new Demigod character releases. They never even released the "Clan Wars" content they promised last summer. Here's hoping they make Demigod 2 with much better community features, netcode, and more characters next time around.
MABManZ
I lurk these boards every few weeks but I don't really play any more. Played from release week to maybe September before converting to HoN (due to lack of support/updates to DG) Wonder if any still remembers me [e digicons][/e]
Glad to see the support, but many of these bugs have been around since launch nearly a year ago... The community for this game has tapered off quite a bit, it may be time just start developing Demigod 2 and start fresh again.
Wow finally an update. Same ol' story, but something is better than nothing. There's only 1 1/2 months left of the "summer" so get that Clan Wars update in ASAP guys Thanks Frogboy, hopefully the demo will rejuvinate the community.
You need both tower damage and regen lvl 2 to stand a chance. Hell i'd even get damage lvl 3 but it's pretty costly, and a pretty big waste on a map like prison where towers do not protect you much.
The developers don't care about this game or forums anymore
Blacksmith/Armory are only useful late game. Any decent aoe will destroy a wave even with 2 armory upgrades. Not a fan of number ratings, so i'll just explain each: Tower Health (increases tower health and grants regen) - Tower Regen 1 is almost always good but it will not keep a tower up if it's being assaulted by a enemy DG. Tower Power (increased tower damage and supposedly adds splash but doesn't
BotF is overrated. Sure the HP is nice, but any amount of good kiting and smart play and you can still win a battle of attrition against a BotF opponent with other favor items. Also 800HP is not so useful late game as opponents DPS starts to get pretty high. BotF does not scale like BotS or other favor items that continue to stay effective throughout the game. I also usually play a BotS hybrid beast build, but I hold off on the Ooze until I have the effective HP gear to
I always wondered why some Oaks take Shield at level 1. Shield is great later in the game, when burst damage becomes a series problem. But early game shield? Shield 1 lasts 3 seconds and has a cooldown of 35 seconds. QoT's Bramble Shield is great at level 1, as is Sednas Heal. But Oaks shield doesn't seem to noticably increase staying power.
Shield 1 early isn't about staying power. It's about saving yourself
35? that isn't so crazy. As caster DGs I regularly get at least 60 MPS and have even gotten 100+ MPS before AND still was able to use it all.
At level 5 it's pretty crazy IMO.
Vlemish Aura does not stack. If it did, someone in a team in 4v4 could end up with over 35 MPS (+ other helms and natural regen), which is kinda ridiculous.
Horn is the only real nerf needed right now. Other than that, include mod support because GPG is too freaking slow to keep this game alive themselves.
Free weekend(s) deal would be better IMO. Less work on SD's part and players get the full experience.
Don't agree, my suggestion would be that he should not be able to snipe through the fog of war unless he has tracking bug. If the opponent is not within sight he should not be able to get a snipe off. It's annoying to be killed by snipes at lvl 3-4 when you thought you were clear and heading back to the citadel, because the regulus clicked to snipe you 10 seconds ago and finally got in range.
It takes multiple AOE's at once which you must coordinate AFTER they've used horn of battle (so basically takes 2 waves of concentrated AOE). After you've done this, the Erebus is not even in the vicinity and you've done no damage to him whatsoever, depleted a lot of mana, suffered massive damage to yourself and/or towers, and probably lost some warscore or flags for having 2 people bash minions for a full 15-30 seconds, but hey! you killed those minions. Also, Erebus h
Not a good build IMO, to admit that you cannot solo or afford cit upgrades at all speaks volumes Use Cloak of Night + Wand of Speed to chase/escape enemies, it's much better than anklet, as you can escape even after being chain stunned and slowed, especially if you have shield 1 to remove debuffs. Cloak will also help your mana needs as it basically gives you a scaled helm for free.
+90% mana regen from Plate Visor doesn't sound bad. Cape of Plentiful mana is +400% and is pretty awful at early lvls. Plate Visor would then become a very awesome 3rd helm if needed, but would kinda undervalue the Magus Rod. Having Plate Visor + Scaled Helm on cataract would net you less mana regen than just having Leviathan's mana flag. Gladiator gloves do not need a buff, they are a must for minion builds and great for the price.
I used to have issues with his raging but I've since made ammends with him. He's not a bad player and although setting rules to his favor is a bit shady, this is basically the tactics of 90% of decent Regulus players out there.
MABManZ Shadow, now that you have acknowledged that the horn is broken and now you've started a wave of cheesy horn erebus players, can you please stop using it? I'm already adjusting my play to compensate for an impending nerf. Also, my Citadel stomps don't work against good players who are prepared. I still have to work for the win and the rest of my team still has to bring their A game. We've won very few games against prepared g

For generals, Cloak of Night is infinitely better for escaping ganks or finishing for a kill
There is no way in hell a minion Oak will win a fight against a non-minion Sedna. Especially if the oak only has 1 point in Penitence.
lul Clearly, full minion builds are the absolute best for 1v1 of any kind.
