I've been reading peoples posts and noticed something - People seem to refer to Star systems containing planets - and that each map has so many star systems - and judging by what was said on some of the images there are 3 star systems per galaxy So - is that a picture of a universe, containing 3 galaxies, with 61 solar systems, containing some unknown number of planets? Or - is it a picture of a g

Dreamcatacher has released MANY games with a unique idea or two in it - however it almost never releases any games that you actually want to play - it's unfortunate.

Um I know how you could overcome the "people thinking its close to final problem" Seriously - here's how - First during the install have a dialog come up saying "This is a beta version, it's no where near final, feedback on new features and other improvements you'd like to see are welcome" Second - When the user launches the game the first time they get the same message with a 5 second wait (so they have to read it) Third - The galaxy loading screen would be

Bumpity bump The AI does this in Dark Avatar and Dread Lords still! I tend to build what I call "Ally Assist" ships - there littearly weaker versions based on my technology and because there medium hulls when i've moved onto gigantic hulls they build in one to two turns and i'll trade 80 or so to a civilization and take over there empire that way ... Latest example is I traded a bunch to the dread lords for all there planets, technology, money - so it's still broken!

if it makes you feel any better I get slowdown when playing GalCiv 2 on a gigantic map and I've got one of the best computers that can be purchased today. Intel QuadCore (oc'd to 3.2 ghz a piece) 4gigs of ram 8800gtx So yeah slowdown happens no matter what you've got - I notice its worse if I turn on the CPU option for having the AI utlize fully.
