I've been reading peoples posts and noticed something - People seem to refer to Star systems containing planets - and that each map has so many star systems - and judging by what was said on some of the images there are 3 star systems per galaxy So - is that a picture of a universe, containing 3 galaxies, with 61 solar systems, containing some unknown number of planets? Or - is it a picture of a g

Dreamcatacher has released MANY games with a unique idea or two in it - however it almost never releases any games that you actually want to play - it's unfortunate.
Um I know how you could overcome the "people thinking its close to final problem" Seriously - here's how - First during the install have a dialog come up saying "This is a beta version, it's no where near final, feedback on new features and other improvements you'd like to see are welcome" Second - When the user launches the game the first time they get the same message with a 5 second wait (so they have to read it) Third - The galaxy loading screen would be
Spinal Mount Weapons - Moo had them - they were fun - bring them back!
I just moved into the lowest end of management - got a pay raise, do less work, and have the ability to tell other people to do something (And watch it actually happen!) - it's amazing That said - Where's my burrito (beta)!
Expansion pack? heck no - way to early for that!
Most likely the 4th tech tree is just a neutral tech tree - something for minor races or whatever - Then again I personally like the idea of a "common" tech tree shared between all four races.
I agree with Emperor he's probably right - They probably invented Google or something.
just currious
Bumpity bump The AI does this in Dark Avatar and Dread Lords still! I tend to build what I call "Ally Assist" ships - there littearly weaker versions based on my technology and because there medium hulls when i've moved onto gigantic hulls they build in one to two turns and i'll trade 80 or so to a civilization and take over there empire that way ... Latest example is I traded a bunch to the dread lords for all there planets, technology, money - so it's still broken!
It's amazing what $1,000 buys you in a desktop when compared to a laptop - It's more amazing what $3523.00 gets you. I've got a cooler master liquid cooling solution with 4 raid-0 Raptor drives (the 150gb model).
No I think it does that so you can't modify it - I know the option works.
I did and they still haven't helped me, LOL! only been a week >
"dynamic clouds" and are there storm effects? what about hurricanes?
Really? id rather use the word "impassioned" since we didnt pay for anyhing, so we cant complain WRONG!!! - We can complain about ANYTHING - good reason's not required!
Ah ha! Cleverly countered by moving to World War 2! in relation to the Confederate and Union currency... the exchange rate fluctuated wildly based on who was perceived to be winning... This is also why the United States has paper money today as at the time paper money was printed by the governments of both the Union and Confederacy in order to pay for the war... now in relation to sins - Assuming each government had there own credit system (which they don't I've stated this is
Didn't anyone ever read about currency exchange rates during the United States Civil War?
I'm far from irritated about the delays but it's very late in the month I'd like to know whats going on - I don't want march 1st to roll around with no news.
That was the most convoluted introduction ever.
I gave them a break it was called Thursday
actually currency exchange would be awesome Think about it - the better your civilization does the more your stuff is worth - if your winning the war your currency would increase - if your losing it would decrease... but hey it doesn't exist so no worries!
you know weren't we promised an update before weeks end? its weeks end and nothing... Sigh where's my beta?
I actually had to go with vista for my current computer to be able to fully utilize quad-core. So I'm already running it - and the Ultimate edition of windows very few people will need - home basic isn't expensive (bit more then a game at $70USD and home premium isn't that much worse) www.newegg.com and go!
if it makes you feel any better I get slowdown when playing GalCiv 2 on a gigantic map and I've got one of the best computers that can be purchased today. Intel QuadCore (oc'd to 3.2 ghz a piece) 4gigs of ram 8800gtx So yeah slowdown happens no matter what you've got - I notice its worse if I turn on the CPU option for having the AI utlize fully.
