I am tempted to say that capturing flags and purchasing upgrades should be rewarded more heavily than it already is. But remember also that a heavily tricked-out assassin dominating your opponents can be a big part of what enables you to capture those flags and earn that gold.

Well, I am in the UK. I know of three other people who are in the beta in the UK (people I know from outside the internet). Also, remember the game is still in beta, and needs a lot of polishing and bug-fixes. I am finding it fun to play in it's current state.

It is a great update. The game plays much nicers and I like the new Demigods. Unit voices is one thing Blizzard have always done well. I would actually prefer not to have the announcer voice, I find it quite annoying in every game. cl_downloadfilter "no sounds". Could we have an option to turn it off?

I've said it so many times that people are probably fed up with it now, but I would really like to be able to upgrade my skills while I am dead. If not that, then I would like to at least be allowed to look at the tree and read the descriptions. A nice bonus would be to allowed to look through the item shop descriptions as well. The developers have said that they would like people to be able to just jump in and play a game of Demigod without playing practice matches. As things stands,

I find that often I am repeatedly unable to buy upgrades for my citadel. Even though I have enough gold, a high enough war rank, and the icon is highlighted, clicking on it has no response (except the noise plays). Often when this happens, I will find I am able to buy one of the other upgrades instead. The mouse cursor does change from the pointer to the other thing when i hover over what I want to buy. I'm not sure if this is down to lag, or the clicking translating onto something in

I did read something about Linux computers being sold with the terminal/command line disabled. If it is now feasible for Linux to be used without learning commands, then it's well on its way to a broader audience..

Well I think that's a case of Asus misnaming what is actually a rather nice small laptop in order to ride the coattails of the netbook fashion. It is good to hear that the GeForce mobile cards are more capable than I had thought though.

I would suspect that your 8200M would be an integrated chip on the motherboard rather than a separate card, which may make upgrading difficult.

In the keys tab of the option screen, the Minion Control and Miscellaneous column is pushed off too far to the right. This varies depending on the resolution I select. For example: 1024*768 is correct; 1152*864 pushes it outside of the box where it belongs, but it's still all visible; all the 1280*x resolutions push it past the edge of the screen. Playing with it in windowed mode, the vertical resolution makes no difference. The smallest possible horizontal resolution is fine, increas

If you could get one with one of the GeForce 9400M graphics chips it might be ok for games which aren't very demanding. The amount of RAM would still be a worry though: Civ 4, for example, will probably not run large maps very well with only 1GB.

I would recommend exercise. Not just a set of press-ups or something, find something that will keep your working for a good couple of hours. Afterwards, go home, maybe have a quick snack, but go to bed early. You will have a fantastic night's sleep and probably wake up at a sensible time. The other thing you can do is to only draw one of your curtains, so that the light wakes you up in the morning.

I notice the office looks a bit cubically. How do you find that, compared to a setup without the dividing walls? (Obviously I don't know what Stardock has at home.)

Don't have too much fun, remember to get some work done. Looking forward to seeing the results of your labour.

I found ooze quite useful against computer opponents during the beta when the beast was stupidly overpowered: you could spit on them, turn on ooze, then go up to them and do the health sucky stun thing. I haven't been able to get much use at all out of the beast in beta 2 though. Getting into melee range without dying is hard.

I think Source engine games are fairly well suited to this, because they include TF2 and Counterstrike. These two games are things that people keep on their hard drive, and play fairly regularly, often for short periods. On top of that, they're played socially. Basically, someone who was doing other things on Linux would find it quite easy to just jump into a game, whereas at present they have to reboot their computer. For some big epic that you play through once in much bigger sessions, rebo

It is definitely more difficult to concentrate fire with melee abilities. At this point I don't see much point in worrying about the balance though - everyone knows the numbers will be changed.
