I was kind of afraid to click on this thread. I thought it was going to be a serious question, since I know you use an actual picture of yourself as your avatar (or you did the last time I saw it ). That would have been.... awkward
At one point it was a picture of MishYu and her boyfriend. Now that would have been awkward.

If you were going to do it, I think it would make more sense to give the entangle effect to a different spell -- Ground Spikes is already quite a good skill. Maybe make Uproot able to target Demigods (for less or no damage, of course) and give it an entangle effect? Also, you didn't miss the fact that her spike wave attack has a slow effect, did you? :)
See now I REALLY would like something for minions, but I think it'd only really work for idol summons, because Generals like Erebus and Oak have out like 10+ minions near end-game. There's no space on the screen for health bars for that many without making it overly cluttered.
It depends how big the health bars are. I was thinking about something like the Sins Empire Tree, which can comfortably fit a few
I haven't had a chance to try this out, but it sounds and looks great. Two quick suggestions: (1) would it be possible to add minion mini-portraits? I'm thinking maybe some small boxes with just icons and health bars, on the left-hand side of the screen, sorted by type. (2) would it be possible to have similar portraits for visible enemies? Obviously they wouldn't show mana, and they'd gray out or something when the enemy went i

I was never into D&D, so my interpretation of their alignment system might be a bit "free". Lawful Good = a civilization of crusading paladins out to subdue the evildoers (i.e., everyone who
Here's a thought I've had a few times. It would be nice if we could search the database on more than one player: that is find all the games that included both Bob and Joe. e.g., sometimes I see a user name on the forums that sounds vaguely familiar, and I'm curious if I've played a game with them ... but it's not really practical to find that out at the moment.
I may be the last person to find this, but... As most people are probably aware, there are a number of keybindings that select predefined groups of units when you're a general. "H" selects your Demigod, "M" selects all your minions, "N" selects your Demigod, and "8", "9", and "0" select minotaurs, archers, and priests respectively. I thought for a long time that it was an odd oversight not to have a key that selected just the special minions (spirits/night w
It seems like in the last few days, most of the Pantheon games I try to play break after the connection is initially established, while the level is being loaded. The symptom is that the load screen just sits there for a much longer period than normal. After a while, I hear "a player has left the game". Sometimes the load screen sits there for another fifteen to thirty seconds before the game starts; other times, I'm stuck for several minutes longer before I hear "a player h

Hm, that would explain why my favor hasn't increased in ages -- the other team drops out before I win about 99% of the time.
I found a weird anomaly in the database -- unfortunately I didn't play the game in question so I can't tell you what happened. http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/game/573255/player/15699/ How can all the players in a game lose? How can a losing player get 165 favor points?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is going on. I had a terrible time getting into a game last evening because every time I started to connect, someone would drop out. I'm pretty sure this is what they were up to. (I stop my comment here, not because I have no more to say, but because I wish to remain polite)
The one tweak I saw suggested that I liked (although it doesn't make much "sense") is to make flags immune to locking while they're locked and for a brief time after they become un-locked. Nothing drastic, say 10-15 seconds. That allows infinite locks, which I think are a perfectly valid tactic, but it forces the lockers to defend their turf, not just bat in, lock, and teleport out (or vice versa).
The forums have been well and truly wedged since the "forum performance update". This reply probably won't show up, for instance. :-)
With v1.01 out, the Demigod connectivity issues are pretty much behind us. What? You say you're having a problem connecting to people online? We're here to help you. First, make sure you are doing this: 1. Open ports 6112 to 6200 on your router and point them to the PC IP address you're playing on. This isn't generally necessary but it can help.
My router only lets me open po
I haven't tried the new patch yet, but I had the "waiting for connection info" thing several times with previous versions. It seemed to happen either after I had canceled out of trying to join a match, or after I dropped out of a game (e.g., because all my opponents were AIs). After it started, every attempt to join a game failed the same way until I restarted the client.
Supposedly the patch coming out on Tuesday the 2nd fixes the bug where your Demigod fails to perform a command.
If you get credit for tower kills, then you can farm by simply sitting a little behind your towers. I do it all the time and have had it done to me. You get xp and gold for all enemy creeps dieing around you, regardless how they die. You get more gold by "tagging" them, doing at least 25% damage.
I'm pretty sure you don't get gold unless you tag them, but the amount of gold is so miniscule
Sedna is weak at actually killing Demigods, but there's only one game mode where that's the goal; in the others, driving the other Demigods off is enough, and she can do that by just outlasting them. I didn't find that I had any trouble winning when I played with her in the Pantheon. (my w/l ratio with her is super-low, but that's mostly because I was suffering from connection problems that weekend and I ended up being an AI in many games)
What you describe is pretty much the reason I quit playing multiplayer games entirely about ten years ago; there are people who are much better than you or I will ever be, who like nothing more than to jump into a game full of relatively unskilled players and beat them up for kicks. You can see evidence of this in some of the early posts in this thread. Even if they aren't deliberately hunting newbies, all it takes is one of them in a game to ruin it for all the people who don't p
I don't know if they were supposed to be fixed, but I'm still seeing weird anomalies in the Pantheon stats. I played two games last night and won decisively in both of them (205 favor to 10). The first one was 1v2; both of my opponents quit after I scored a kill towards the end of the game (one of them explaining first that he was dropping out because I had won). The game does not appear in my list at all. The second game was a 1v1; my opponent again d
Q: You say Demigod’s online play is fine now but I have a problem. A: For that I say go to http://www.speedtest.net/ and check your upload speed. Demigod requires a broadband connection defined as at least 256 kilobit upload and download to reliably play a 5 on 5 game. A 3 on 3 game requires about 120 kilobit (about twice what an old phone modem does). v1.01 should reduce this well below the threshold of low end connections. But
Luckily the tools to combat such 'spike' builds are also given to players - the commonly used tactic is to 'split' your team to different parts of the map to attack various objectives at once. Since the spike team need all their players together to get the kills, they can't compete with such a tactic. It would seem to me (having never played Demigod) that Demigod is designed very much with a splitting strategy in mind... if the whole
