Have you tried this little freeware application ? " SuperF4 kills the currently selected program when you press Ctrl+Alt+F4. This is different from when you press Alt+F4. Alt+F4 only asks the currently selected program to exit, allowing it to decide for itself if it really want to. [...] Beware though, SuperF4 effectively kills the program and doesn't give it a chance to save unsaved work" <a title="SuperF4" href="http://cod

Some of you might be interested in checking out a more extensive version of the A.I.-design-philosophy text I quoted in my previous reply #15, as posted yesterday on one of his blog webpages, by A.I.-War dev x4000 (who has posted on this thread) : http://christophermpark.blogs

Stardock's Impulse store recently started to offer a new game called A.I. War . On the indie-developer's website (www.arcengames.com), in a forum post, the game's principal dev recently posted his general A.I.-design philosophy (http://arcengames.com/forums/index.php?topic=24.0) : « I'm going to be writing a full article on this topic in the next couple of weeks, but here's a quick rundown. I NEVER quit ... even if it is an "impossible battle" (and even if I then have something better to do). Up to now, my only "leaving" have been a few game-programme crashes : nothing I could avoid or control. In a 3 v 3, my two team8 quit without any warning or reason. I was then stuck with two mediocre bots. On the chat, I asked my 3 human enemies if they prefered that I stick around until the bitter end : since they said "yes", I played until that fatal outcome arrived.
You do that in a game's setup lobby ... when you have a direct input on what map and how many players you want in -- a freedom of game-setup choice you do not have in certain game modes. Look to the right of the list of demigod players you want in, below the map-image : it says « Options ». Click, and then you will see a detailed menu with a lot of game-setup options. When I play alone, I select "infinite timeouts", there, an option which allows me to pause a game

As of 2 May, late evening, one section of the Pantheon ("Games List") credits me with having played 25 games ... but the quick search-result associated to the "Sorceresss" player states that I have only palyed ONE game ! I believe that I've played more than 25 games, but there is an obvious discrepancy between 25 and 1. If someone does a search on the "Sorceresss" player, he will see 1 game played. He has to go to the Games List page to see the
I played the beta update, yesterday, for hours, and there were no problems whatsoever. Suddenly, from 10:15 to 10:30 PM (Eastern), I could not enter a game anymore. I got 2 debug-error windows in a row! I exited the game programme, and when I wanted to log-in back, I was not able to be identified. I exited the programme and tried again. That time, I could log in, but trying to join a game got me another debug-error window. Strange beta update : I
I'm no expert on ping & lag, but I've participated in many games where all the pings were good & green, below 150 MS, during the game setup, and then there was lag during the game itself. Yesterday evening, I participated in a game where most pings were near 200 MS, and there was no significant lag : just a few, brief pauses. Some gamers just won't play with people with a ping above 150 MS. I believe that there are other factors to consider : such as multitasking &
