use "the download and archive" option in Impulse, put the archive file on an USB stick. You restore after that from the archive, without needing to download the game again.
a note on that. you can only use the archive made at time of download. if you use an archive you made from the installation it won't have all the files needed to install on a different OS. e.g. and archived installation from XP won't be able to be ins
Part of the goal with Beta 1 will be to make the game run on extremely low end hardware. I.e. Netbook-level hardware.
it's like you want me to take public transport.

@tesb: yep [e digicons][/e] at every beta release (beta 1, 2, 3, etc) they usually let all the previous pre-orders and any pre-orders that are made for the following ~week to have access to the beta. you'll need to tick the 'show pre-release downlads' in impulse settings to see them though. this has been my experience at least, so although not gospel, pretty confident that's how it'll be.

another question related to Peace Phoenix's point. i've preordered WIN 7 and have a: EEE901 ACER travelmate circa 2005 and my main desktop (ATHELON 2.5ghz) all currently running XP is it of any use to try beta on all of these with both XP and win7? i'm guessing yes but as it'll be a bit of work (and a lot of bandwidth. i'm wondering how wanted the info will be???

@ToJKa: they are both the same. impulse's shopping page is just a different UI for IE (7 or 8 i don't know). that is unless there's been a major change?? buying though the website should work just as well and providing you use the same email adderss as you use for your impulse account your purchase will be automatically entered and ready to download with out you having to paste keys and stuffs. @Osiris: i'm was feeling pretty much the same, you are right though

great! so now i won't only be spam refreshing looking for news on elemental but jumping back and forth to my mail box too. [e digicons]\o/[/e] also i now this may sonud perverse but i quite enjoy the beta's here. this will be 3rd or 4th i think. you just have to see the fun as helping make a great game as apposed to playing it. one question, i know it's far to early to apply any time scale, but i was curious as to the rate expected for 1a, 1b, 1c, etc...?

I would happily play the mod. getting SD to spend time doing it though would seem a waste to me, when there's more game mechanics to focus on that can't be replicated with RL cards. simply ***WARNING: Bad Car Analogy*** if i want a car i go to the showroom and not the marina.

iirc, ALL players (ai's are humn too [e digicons];)[/e] ) are ranked using the ELO system. simply if you beat some one around your lvl you get some points, if you beat some one a lot higher than you get a lot of points.

in times of yore people would show their appriciation by 'shaking their stick'; the stick in question being a piece of oak or willow roughly 6 inches in length that was carried around for such occasions. the amount of apprciation would be judged by the vigour with witch the sticks were shaken, understandably this could cause some fatigue if something of extrodinary worth was discovered. hence the idea of something being more than one is cabable of shaking a stick at. the stick

banned for false accusations. not once in my previous post did i use the word too or the word much. as such i feel your ban is completely without merit and i take great exception to it.

you left me puzzled, which is the car to end all cars? what would be really cool if ready to play does well and is expanded to the whole net. though i must admit to a satisfactory feeling of schadenfreude reading peeps broiling in their own rage. p.s. Demigod FTW, where's my cheque?
