@tesb: yep [e digicons]:grin:[/e] at every beta release (beta 1, 2, 3, etc) they usually let all the previous pre-orders and any pre-orders that are made for the following ~week to have access to the beta. you'll need to tick the 'show pre-release downlads' in impulse settings to see them though. this has been my experience at least, so although not gospel, pretty confident that's how it'll be.

another question related to Peace Phoenix's point. i've preordered WIN 7 and have a: EEE901 ACER travelmate circa 2005 and my main desktop (ATHELON 2.5ghz) all currently running XP is it of any use to try beta on all of these with both XP and win7? i'm guessing yes but as it'll be a bit of work (and a lot of bandwidth. i'm wondering how wanted the info will be???

there's nothing wrong with making suggestions. even if it's not put into the game some one might like the look of it and make a mod. iirc, ALL players (ai's are humn too [e digicons];)[/e] ) are ranked using the ELO system. simply if you beat some one around your lvl you get some points, if you beat some one a lot higher than you get a lot of points.

in times of yore people would show their appriciation by 'shaking their stick'; the stick in question being a piece of oak or willow roughly 6 inches in length that was carried around for such occasions. the amount of apprciation would be judged by the vigour with witch the sticks were shaken, understandably this could cause some fatigue if something of extrodinary worth was discovered. hence the idea of something being more than one is cabable of shaking a stick at. the stick
