Brad, Don't let the "modern entitlement-baby" (as it was so aptly put by someone else in another thread) get you down! There will always be people confusing "privilege" with "right" and sadly that can't be helped (save the next generation of parents growing a brain/balls and kicking some ass again!) People need to remember: Just because we enjoy "rights" in ou

Thanks for the suggestions..... As it turns out....I already own Making History - The Calm & The Storm (courtesy of an Impulse-buy hehe ;) ) which I enjoy alot (reminds me of Axis and Allies the board-game which I played to death as a kid!) Another series I've always enjoyed is the Hearts of Iron series. I see HOI 3 is slated for release sometime this fall... the Mon

If it's a killer RTS you're after, you absolutely can't go wrong with "Men of War". Check out the thread I posted about MoW here: Thread about "Men of War" Nothing else in recent history (last 10 years) has been as deserving of attention as MoW, unfortunately its largely unknown, which is sad.

Could it be that your ISP modem is also functioning as a router? That would create a "double-NAT" scenario and first thing you will need to do is either: -- place your router's WAN IP into the DMZ of fhe ISP modem. -or- -- forward all UDP traffic on the specified ports from your ISP modem to your router, and then forward all UDP traffic on those same ports from your router to your PC.

@ DemiCom, here's quoting myself from a different thread..........
As I've posted about earlier, I don't believe "forwarding" of ports is even the bigger issue here. The biggest issue with Demigod is that the level of NAT- filtering (either on out-going or incoming connections) is breaking things. Unfortunately many people's setups don't allow for changes to the level of NAT- filtering being applied
I love you Stardock, but there is no other RTS out there where I have to forward 100 or 200 ports. That seems beyond unnecessary. Even via your own post you indicate that in Supreme Commander people only needed to forward ONE: 6073 (UDP I assume). Why does Demigod need a range of at least 100, if not more? I assume these ports are UDP, but unfortunately, most of the time this information is omitted in posts explaining what we need to do. Please, it's important. Do we forward

comanoodle, I have personal experience with ISP's "prioritizing" traffic, and it IS easy as hell for any competent ISP to screw with ANY type of P2P traffic. Even if they simply drop a few P2P packets here and there you will have issues with Demigod and games setup up like it. Period. Now can you please stop calling XSive_Death an idiot? thanks! ;P the Monk
