Demigod does not need major balancing! Quite right. Nothing is OP (gamebreaking) but there is a lot of underpowered and cost ineffective items and skills that need a bit of love sooner or later.
i dont think people really want balance changes. they just want different content.
Yep. Casual games ftw ^^

The first reply to this thread is the only one you need to read. DG is balanced to the point where only fine tuning is required. Want to find imbalance? Have a cash reward tourney. You'll see players pull out all the stops in order to win, and there will be no illusions as to whether tactic A or tactic B is OP/UP because the players will all be trying to exploit their way to victory. It has worked for other games in the past and it would work for DG. I suspect you would find in a 3v3
in short its a mechanic thats in the game so deal with it and play/plan around it happening EVERYTIME
Stacked's point is that it is either a potion or a mana drop, and there is therefore in many cases a 50% chance you will, after killing the enemy DG, be able to heal enough to stay at the front. For example, consider a DG chasing another into his own defenses: Player A chases Player B and kills him between two of player B's towers. Player A takes lots
please shift the towers away further from each other on Zikurat near the gold mines in the center.
This is a much better option than reducing gunner range, which affects balance of 4 classes, I doubt anyone would be against you if your thread title and first line were swapped around.
Regulus is fine l2p. As others have said his weakness is in actual DG combat, all it takes is an enemy Erebus blinking+mass charm to hold him for others to gank and he goes down in a flash.
Now as for whether the death penalty itself is too severe that's a whole other discussion. Shaving off some of the gold gained, decreasing the time-out duration or removing the fog of boredom are all reasonable ideas, but this thread didn't start about tweaks, it was about reinvention and I'm not sure any of those kinds of things would suffice for the OP. Also I've gotta agree that the FPS to DG comparison got pretty abstract in
.No, you don't buy items in TF2, and on some level you do actually get a direct reward for kills, you get more metal to build turrets/dispensers/whatever. In countersrike you DO actually buy items and you get gold for kills.
The TF2 comparison is valid because you make a choice in something like goldrush between pushing the cart and going for kills, or in CP maps capping the point and going for kills. By killing your e
No it is not, the game is about achieving the set objective, killing the enemy is just a side product of that. Killing the enemy 20 times each will not win a game of conquest, it will help but it won't mean you win. To those who are saying if there was no gold xp from a dg kill it wouldn't be worth it you are wrong. Having an opponent out of the first for 30 seconds is a great advantage. <br
Spit is counterable by shield, heal, and minion priests pretty handily. If you opponent has one Sedna and you have 2-3 UB you've just lost some of your effectiveness since Ooze doesn't stack and Spit will get debuffed pronto.
(I don't see how you think being able to kite is not in this game, I've seen some pretty effective speed builds with Reg and TB)
0.35 seconds of net_lag makes proper kiting very difficult and more risky than it should be.
I'm not sure what other tactics you can expect.
If anything other than HP stacking was viable you would see people take dps builds, speed builds, builds that gimp one character while pu
That way demigod would get some dynamic in its demigod cast. Add 4-6 more and you would finally get a great meta game.
The optimal strategy of stacking HP isn't going to be changed by adding more demigods methinks. A rethink and adjustment of about 50% of the items in the game is needed for there to be any strategic depth imo. Without any strategy there is no metagame.
If Starcraft would be like Demigod: - There would be 2 Races with the promisse to add at least one Race after release. - Units would only cost money one time and would be free to summon again after cooldown is ready. - Tournaments wouldn't be possible because every second match has a crash. - No one would play online because proxies make most onlinematches unplayable. The only option we have is to raise the overall skill level so that we are all roughly on par with each other. US/EU may have a large enough player pool to start that sort of segregation but i

Terrible players rarely check the forums. (If they checked the forums they wouldn't be terrible)

A house rule of no HoB and no minion exploiting would be better for the game. I don't see Sedna/Priests 3 as a
