Im with liq3, I buy Plenor and Vlemish every single game, and have no need for HoL (as Sedna). Even with other heroes, you are choosing between being able to run away and come back healthy, and being able to actually stay in combat longer. Sometimes you want to run away and come back, sometimes you want to stay in combat, the heart of life isnt OP because it doesnt help you much in combat. Have you actually played anything more than a 2v2/3v3? In a 4v4 you'll get nuked by 4 people at

Kerzain, I think that's a wonderful idea. I think showing what the enemy bought would also help reduce the "WTF did I do wrong?" feeling after losing a game where you got pummelled and couldn't nail down what was doing it. Like the first time you face someone who has bought Deathbringer (Why can't I use my abilities??? /rage). Seeing what your teammates bought might make people rage at each other a bit, but I guess that's going to happen anyway. Now I know what you want, and I want it

Blitz, I tihnk thats referring to a situation where you are chasing someone and use bite or pounce, and your DG subsequently doesnt auto-attack. If you're fast you can alleviate this by clicking once on the enemy dg. I was under the impression the bigger problem was that you can't use an ability when you click on your target from time to time. This requires you to give a move order somewhere else, then try the ability again, which is significantly worse.

Hopefully VoiP integration happens sometime soon and this kind of crap wont happen so much.

Some people talking about not wanting to play with others who trash talk and would thus have "low karma" or equivalent...I'd just like to say that i really don't care if you trash talk, so long as you don't suck when I'm playing with or against you. Having a skill matched game is so far up the priority list compared to not having people who trash talk its not even a consideration for me. Playing SupCom online had its problems, but the most significant one for me was that there werent

Something you guys might like to consider is adding life steal items to Sedna. I tried out taking Narnoth's Ring instead of the heart of life the other day, and it can work quite well. Then you can take mage slayer instead of the orb of veiled storms and you will be regenerating health at a fairly crazy rate. Really only for a duelist Sedna build...but worth thinking about.

What if you include 2 of each of the healing idol minions? I think you could get pretty close. they heal every 5 seconds, for between 10 and 30% of her life or something dont they? Although the AI probably doesnt glitch the idols eh :P

I've had many comebacks since release, and most of them seem to come because my opponents made the mistake of continuing their gameplay style while pushing up to my citadel. For example, on crucible there is a high concentration of towers around the citdadel, so any enemy push is going to be short, but if you in turn ping one of their players and gain the upper hand, they have a very long way to run before they get to their towers. You can easily wipe thier entire team in 20 seconds or so aft

As a Sedna player, the mana only one for cheaper would be very tempting. I think splitting the item into two separate ones would be beneficial. One solves mana problems, one solves health problems, rather than the universal solution it currently is. I tried out the wand of speed + hol combo last night and found it pretty ridiculous as an unclean beast, not only is the wand a fantastic item, its also really cheap, and once you get the heart later in the game you can be a real pain.

Countering Sedna: Early game: Expect to get pounced, often, and don't underestmate the damage and interrupt potential it has. If you're on your own, kill her monks first, then retreat. As a Sedna player i find I'm low on mana right at the start, so I can't chain pounces and heals. This means if you can deal enough damage to force me to heal, and survive my pounce, I'm pretty screwed. Without monks, and with no mana, I'm even more screwed so its back to the crystal. Unfortunately you c

My point was more that if someone has a huge amount of health and they are dying, healing them has a lower chance of saving them from escape. Say reg does 700 dmg or whatever per hit late game, this means that he can undo my most powerful heal in 2 hits if im trying to keep someone alive. Even at 500 dmg, which is easily obtainable, this is only 3 hits to negate the heal. Sure, heal might buy your ally time to escape from a ight spot, but in mid game you are buying your ally 5 more hits they

The first artifact on the list can be a good buy for 8k gold giving you some AoE... "Orb of something or other". I tend get it if im against minion heavy generals, or if we're getting behind on citadel upgrades, but in most cases I think its better to save for the bracelet of rage or get more citadel ups. I rarely take yetis, and tend to focus on inner grace, pounce, heal and at least 1 level of silence. The "Sedna the almighty" thread on here has some good ideas in it, and following the seco

Reply to How is Sedna? in Demigod

I agree silence is a fantastic ability, but depending on what class/builds your opponent is doing it may not be worth upgrading past the first level. If my opponents are playing speed reg, but i have an UB on my team, id take a more support oriented sedna and probably pick up the minion buff skills. On the other hand if you are playing against a rook, silence/pounce can absolutely devastate. Sedna can be very hard to displace, you can hold your own against a couple of demigods at a ti

add me, verspunken, menki and NoSane edit: We made a steam group "demigod.au", we could use that to organise games if you're interested. Its open for anyone to join afaik.

Sometimes when hosting a custom game my connection window will disappear, after this other people can't connect to the game. I think it means I've been disconnected from the NAT facilitator, but maybe a dialogue box telling me that would help.

wbobeirne hits the nail on the head. Coding a new demigod wouldnt take a terrible amount of effort I'd imagine, since the framework is already there. Making the assets and balancing on the other hand would consume a huge amount of resources. Fixing what is there already should be a priority over making more content. Dow2 would appear to b

Using fireball on an enemy that is teleporting can result in the enemy porting across the map and having the fireball chase after them. Amusing to watch but I'm not sure this is intended. Hardly a major issue and I'm sure you guys have better things to work on. Merry Christmas all.

Reply to Demigod vs DOTA in Demigod

GPG took quite a long time to release new content for supcom through patches. One would hope Demigod has new content added frequently but given the amount of assets needed to be made to create a new Demigod character I am not confident we will be seeing double figures too soon. It is however worth noting that items don't have any major graphical or audio manifestation so the addition of new items should be quite easy. (and hopefully frequent!) I havent played DoTA, or much WC3

Sometimes when you host a game, you will be "Hosting on port 0" or somesuch, which means something has bugged out and nobody can connect. My house mate and I have tentataively found that using a different game name each time and also restarting Demigod in between each game helps with this, but it doesn't work every time.
