the gold from killing a DG themselves isn't even close to the reason why dying puts you so far behind. it has MUCH MUCH more to do with what your opponent gets to do unopposed in a lane while you're dead. its like minimum 30 seconds of free creep farming and usually translates into 1 or 2 levels, about 1000 gold from creep kills, a flag cap turnover, and maybe even one or two towers destroyed. seriously, its that shit that's killing you, not the

The only reason I use them is because the giant walking castle is probably the easiest demigod to kill. Oak who's an empty suit of armour is harder to kill then him. Don't get why they made a demigod so big and durable looking only to have him the exact oppsite.
I find it amusing that the generals in the game are played mostly as assassins, while Rook is essentially pla

I mostly use it to get 3 seconds of stun time to recharge bite. It's also a useful tool for letting your minions catch up to a fleeing enemy. It's definetly one of the worse skills in the game, but that doesn't mean its inherently useless. Oh, and by the way, I play my Erebus as a mixed build. No mist though. Doesn't feel right

You just have to interrupt shield! Simple, see? (The Heart item is overpriced, imo - should be 2k gold max) Also, Rook towers are weaksauce, especially on bottleneck maps, and especially when he bunches them together to form a Deathstar. Maybe you guys
The alternative is that your teammates quit and you're left on your own. I highly doubt you could make a comeback from there.
It is your choice to quit early (and by early i mean in the first couple of minutes). I can't stop you, and I won't try to stop you. It is my choice to write your username down and not let you join my lobby.
I have to agree with DalzK. When Rook camps a portal flag, you're screwed. It was really frustrating to simply not ever have a possibility of killing him. We got close a few times, but even with Silence, his health was so high and the player good enough that he could always make it back to base or his ally if we were able to drive him off. We would be in no condition to fight after that, and so Oak would come back out and immediately drive us o
As I said before, a new demigod could do 4000 damage at level 1 and people would still argue that it's not overpowered. Clearly there is a counter for such a beast.
If it has 1 HP, only does melee dmg, has no skills and is slow I see no problem.
So a Rook and lets say a Sedna go to capture your portal, they lock it. The rook puts up two towers. You go in and try to recapture your flag but the two towers and the giants flowing out the portal is too much of an advantage for the opponent, especially with a Sedna behind him. You have to go back to heal or your forced back. By then another two towers have come up. Thats four. You see how easily the towers can start to stack?[/quo
Just to clarify, Rooks towers are not only OP in Prison. Have you ever had your portal taken in Cataract and then 8 towers spammed around it so there is no way you can take it back?
No, I don't let people sit on my portal flag for 90 seconds to summon that many towers, I get in there and kill said rook because he can't create a tower farm that quickly. When the aforementioned rook attmepts to teleport away since his move speed is
Once the player numbers rise, having good nukes becomes more important. I just played a 4v4 where an enemy Erebus had fireball, pounce and penitance cast on him within about 0.1 of a second. He died in an instant and there was very little he could do since we had come from different directions (he was running from the TB/Oak and ambushed by the Sed on Leviathan) So as far as great combinations go, if you have a team on voice chat then having coordinated nukes is pretty much going to w
And what exactly were you doing for nearly a minute and a half while Rook was apparently wandering around in front of your base, gradually amassing eight towers? Not only do Rook's tower farms take a lot of time to set up, but the things crumble on their own over time, meaning it requires constant effort to maintain. I don't see how people call this overpowered.
It can happen quite easily, all that needs to occur on Prison is t
My experience is different, I don't think rook's towers scale very well, I'd like to see their initial health lowered, but the health gain per point put into the skill increased so they are a little more than just fodder at higher levels, and slightly less of an impassable barrier at the outset. Playing Sedna, Rook is pretty much out of bounds until I buy a bunch of minions to bring them down without taking too much damage. Ranged classes are going to have a lot less difficulty than the melee
Sedna + Oak. If one of you gets in trouble you have both shield and heal to save you. You can win the match with very low numbers of kills, but you will likely also have 0 deaths unless you make some poor decisions early on. In a game of 3v3 adding a DG with good stun or slow such as TB, Reg, or Erebus could work nicely as well.
To those suggesting that generals can compete for some of the other awards, try to bear in mind Sedna has no AoE apart from high level heal (which isnt going to win any awards). I tend to deal 1/2 to 1/4 of the damage of something like a rook or tb playing as Sedna.
Can anyone explain to me why we even have favor points? What part is patronising? A signinficant number of US players kick people from Australia and I'm thanking the ones that don't, and encouraging the ones that do to reconsider.
Thanks for not kicking me from your games, I've really enjoyed playing with you over the past few days post-connection patch.
