Perhaps putting "premade" in the title leads to 20-minute wait times as some people keep saying. I haven't tried it as I have no mic and no Finnish friends who are into competitive computer games. But if it indeed takes 20 minutes to fill up, then that means that most of the premade teams actually avoid logging on to such games, which in turn leads to my original point. It's not easy. That said; there were problems at release, and there still are,

I wouldn't use Rook if I were you, hes weak for 2v2s. If you could convince your friend to use a different DG, Oak + LE is the other great 2v2 combo, in my experience. Its not a direct counter but it'll get you close enough to try to win by outplaying them.
RE: The Dawn of War 2 patch list. The new patch is pretty damn impressive. DoW2 came out 2 months before DG, do you think in 2 months we will be seeing a similar amount of progress from GPG? Different projects, different budgets etc. but I don't feel it's an overly unfair comparison. Both companies are veterans of the industry (and both make games I really like) and have experience with RTS games in particular. Also worth noting that despite the giant changelog DoW2 ha

Normally people create some secret thing that only they know on the map and completely massacre everyone with it. Age of Empires 3 did it, Starcraft did it, and a lot of others. It isn't necissarrily a good thing. It just means the developers didn't want to take the time to create simply amazing maps so they release a few decent ones and let the community do the rest. I was discussing DG in the context of the DoW2 patch that is soon to come out with a friend, and some of the balancing issues present there and their responses to them carry over to issues I feel are present in DG. Most interesting was on the subject of a knockdown chance on a unit, which actually reflected exactly the problem I have with playing DG competitively. If a unit has a 20% chance to knock another down, you can safely say that there is a 20% chance, regardless of skill, that

I use the cloak of night. Reg players use the poisoned dagger. It's not very good in late game and it's starting to become redundant in mid. You can effectively cover it with the +hp items you buy in mid game such as unbreakable boots and nimoth, whereas getting a 20% chance 25% slow item is more difficult (closest is Wyrmskin). Getting a good blink item is impossible since Warpstone was nerfed ages ago, making the cloak unique. I see people using heaven's wrath a bit as well,
