but i wouldnt have gotten my 50 favor points and been marked as a disconnect. a forfeit button would avoid that problem.
Othello
I was in a skirmish 1v1 and it came to the point where i couldn't win. I wanted a forfeit button, real. bad. the problem comes when the opposing force starts taking their time and drags the game out. it doesn't encourage me to play again soon...
Ok, how bout this: For skirmish, you select the demigod you want and you play as it. So, how about you can vote for which map you want to play and what game type IE: Maps [ ] Exile [X] Cataract and so on and so on [ ] Random Game Type [X] Slaughter
Here's something for the front page. Demigod trailed just behind the heavy hitters WOW Lich King and Sims 2 in sales the week of the 12-18. Nothing wrong with being number three! http://kotaku.com/5230347/pc-sales-charts-oh-hi-demigod (Good, more people to battle!)
Looks good but you're definatly gonna need to replace that Wii with a PS3.
Is there a reason to play pantheon games in the works? Right now I see it as more of a restrictive skirmish. I can see an eventual reason to Pantheon, just not now.
Well done GPG and Stardock! http://g4tv.com/xplay/reviews/1970/Demigod-Review.html
Sedna is terrible. She can't get the kills to get gold, so she can't even properly support the team w/ Citadel upgrades. She is just overall a terrible hero.
I was in an online skirmish, paired with an AI sedena and she feed 13 deaths to the other side. Alot compared to the opposing AI and other characters. She died more than 3 times the other demigods. She wouldn't retreat and always went out on her own.
Single player, although has it use and for what it is is fun, is kind of a shame. If i remember correctly, they had plans for a single player tourney where there was a system where you could actually take away favor points to knock whoevers on top lower in to the totem pole. I also wish the asention cut scene was a little, well, more.
There were a lot of cool suggestions back in the day about this.
heh, i was part of that, just trying to keep the idea alive
Just noticed this to be a problem today
yeah its a nit pick i noticed the same thing to but wut do u proprose metacritic do, and this would affect more than just stardock...
I'm not talking about any other game than Demigod, Im purposing metacritic reevlauate what a C is. I'd buy a game with a C rating, I would almost certainly pass up a game 50/100. Others might too.
Demigod is rated as a "c" on 1up. Metacritic has that rating as 50. I can understand they use A thru F grades and a C is half way between, hence 50 but their grading system is akin to school where: A=100-90, B=89-80, C=79-70, D=69-60, F=59 and below. If i was reading the 1up review, i would interpret it as in the 70's. Stardock and GPG might want to look into this to both raise the mean metacritic score and loose the lowest review (by 15 points) on metacritic of their
Let's say The Rook was fighting on the dark side, he should have darker bricks and maybe red mortar. Or if TB was on light, his armor could be gold or silver. The demigods appearance should reflect what side their fighting for in skirmishes where they jump to the other side.
I would prefer if the light and dark sides had different style buildings. The only difference between the two would be appearance.
Demigod pirates, if you enjoy the game you should buy it. $40 may seem insignificant to a corporation, but as in democratic elections, it adds up. Purchasing Demigod will support 2 companies (GPG and Stardock) who have confirmed a dedication to improvement. It will encourage updates and expansions. It will lead other companies to follow suit. It will help in bettering a product you already enjoy.
Thank you stardock and GPG for creating a game I haven't put on the shelf and forgot after a few play throughs. The single player game is a great primer (and challenging enough at higher levels to maintain my interest) for multiplayer. The multiplayer comes in short bursts of entertainment that is perfectly suited for someone who doesn't want to spend hours playing a game. A stumbled release might have persuaded some developers to jump ship and cut their losses, but if
im -115 and only bought the heart item for +600 hp (or is it +800?)
Quoting Zubaz, reply 3 However, the single player game is fun and educational. I'd buy it now for that and be even better when I played with others. Says mr. bias! I must confess that I am tempted to buy it now, however with all these issues I am also tempted to pirate (I know...) the game until some of the bugs and issues are sorted. I do want the game, I just don't want to spend more
A temperary fix for me was to disconnect my computer from the internet, I couldnt play multiplayer, but i could check out single player
If the game is hanging after the intro vids or when going through mutiplayer menus, there is nothing wrong with your install. Those are due to the excessive load on the pre-release servers being caused by the early Gamestop release and the many pirates. We're hoping to have the production servers up tonight or tomorrow, and likely on different IPs so that the pirates will not be able to bog them down.
Thanks

Your girlfriend is testing you, do not fail. Let's look at the facts. - She knows that you know she thinks your feet are disguiting. - You're unemployed. I've seen it before. I'm happy that Will is leaving a big corporation, it sounds like his vision for spore was killed by EA and it was reanimated by EA into what it is, then there's Sim City Societies... Hopefully EA survives, it'd be terrible to have more people unemployed.
I'm concerned about this subject too, Supreme Commander runs fine in my pc, i hope Demigod does too
I'm running a nvidia 8600mgt 512, 2 gb ram..., vista home premium 32 bit, 2ghz dual core and the supreme commander demo runs fine, and the demigod beta ran even better (and if i ever upgrade my ram, even better than that). This game is a real phenomenon, and when you get in a good match the tempo (and this opinion
