I REALLY like that ad. It catches your attention with the giant castle man, and has pictures of a new map :-P As for Beta 2... EXCITING!

Sins of a Solar Empire featured professional voice actors, but just that fact doesn't always make it likeable to everyone. Case in point? A guy with a forum nick "Starscream" was complaining about a Vasari dialogue that was voiced by the same actor who did Starscream in the Transformers movie. Delicious irony

Yeah, what is this nonsense about no generals? the fact that there are " demigods that focus on buffing and protecting their team-mates, shielding them from harm and empowering them to deal even greater devastation. " makes me think that they also provide bonuses to creeps, very "general-like" abilities. Just because they didn't specifically didn't mention Generals, doesn't mean there won't be any. They didn't mention anything about t

I don't believe there is anything we can do currently, but there is a link to this thread and 3 others to do with pathing directly from the organized list of feedback. They are definitely aware of the problem.

They want one bug per thread.

Yeah, I couldn't figure out the cause but I remember seeing creeps stuck and tails wagging after the game had slowed WAY down. The first time it happened I thought it might have had something to do with my graphics, but i turned everything from high to low, and it made no difference at all. but it was definitely taking 2-4 seconds real time for every 1 second game time.

it has nothing to do with having the same skills as each other. I think u misunderstood what I was trying to say, but I didn't mean for it to become such a big deal, so we really don't have to talk about it anymore. And now I kinda feel like I sound like a total jerk which is the last thing i intended to do so I apologize. I was just trying to give another perspective on an idea that was based more on how my friends like to play then on my own preference.

@AnnihilatorX I kinda just used 30 secs as an example, but yeah, that probably is a bit short, isn't it :-P I like your idea a lot. It kind of reminds me of Team Fortress 2. A modification to your idea was maybe locks are less effective for lower hierarchy flags. Maybe they lock for less time or maybe they just make it harder for the other team to bring it to their side instead of impossible.

I think maybe after a lock is finished you should have to wait 30 seconds before it can be locked again. That way someone can/has to go back and defend it for a little while and the other team still has a chance to win it back.

it does have a sense to it. It's an idea that has a lot of good points, but it also takes a lot of time to figure out what items lead to what. not only do you need two or three items to make one, but then sometimes you need two or three of those built up items to build up another item. The problems I had when I first started playing Dota was not knowing where to find all the base items. There are so many shops and different items in the shops that i spent minutes at the base trying to figure

See, that's where you keep getting it wrong. I didn't say that it doesn't happen. I know it happens. I also have many friends who like to play and try to set up scenarios. just because people CAN have the same hero fighting each other doesn't mean it HAS to. Right now there HAVE to be duplicate Demigods. All I'm saying is that they should make it so it is possible to create a realistic scenario if they would like to. I'm not saying that every game should be set up so that it HAS to be like th

@innociv Every race can war against itself. Unless you are really convinced that your reflection is real, or they've perfected cloning, it's pretty hard to fight yourself. And to be totally honest, it really isn't that big a deal to ME. Just one of those little details that some people think about. Doesn't change my mind about it being a good game or anything though. When I said it makes sense to have the option, i didnt mean everyone should play that way, i jus
