It's because you type like how you would speak. Stop it. Is proper capitalization too much to ask? Anyways, it's because SupCom engine always used a huge amount of bandwidth for what it does. That said, your ISP service sucks donkeys.

Preordered during beta, got my coupon. I'm going to make a guess that Stardock is sending them out in batches so that they don't piss off the ISPs.

Erebus mist's greatest strength right now is in escaping encounters. I've played against a Erebus that was practially impossible to kill. Mist in, wait for cooldown on bat swarm. Mist out, bat swarm, runaway. Rinse and repeat I think either Mist needs a longer cooldown or it needs to freeze the cooldowns on other spells.

Reply to DotA vs Demigod in Demigod

I really don't get this "greater depth" for each hero spiel that you guys love to sprout. Demigod is currently constrained by limited item selection and skill trees. DotA is successful because of several factors: Low requirements to entry (hardware, bandwidth, connectivity, monetary). Extensive community involvement (VCK, meaningful ladders) Focused gameplay with variety. Well supported platform (WC3 TFT, responsive controls, clear grap

As a host for my DotA mates, I can say with 100% certainty that WC3 is server to client with the host acting as the server. The viability of custom kick is the absolute proof that the system is not peer to peer since none of the other players have any input whatsoever. There are other evidence: Whenever there is a lag spike, the client will run the simulation at increased speed to match the host's state; there are never desyncs because the host state is always correct. <p

After a couple of games I've noticed that when chasing a fleeing hero, the Beast cannot successfully attack units that are retreating away. Here's how the attack cycle goes after clicking attack. 1) Beast moves up to the target 2) Attack animation begins and Beast stops moving 3) Enemy exits attack range and attack animation is canceled 4) Beast starts chasing after a brief pause 5) ??? 6) Repeat 1-5 until Beast dies. No PROFIT.
Does no copy protection mean that the game is completely transferable to someone else? (Online play included)
Of course not, that'll be retarded.

Dollar for dollar, SLI is less efficient compared to similarly priced single card configurations. So... yes he is serious. The cost of a nForce motherboard is a part of the SLI consideration, along with increased power consumption, heat, and varying SLI returns.

I'd like to emphasize that Intel puts thermal throttling into their hardware for a good reason. Although Core 2 Mobile processors are fine up to 100C (at which they will probably trip), your other hardware may not handle those temperatures. Extreme thermal variance and expansion will eventually kill your laptop. In a laptop's small air space, not only your CPU will be running near 100C but also the components around it. The 8600M, 8800M series are extremely vulnerable to high temperat

Even if Demigod gets SM2.0, the GMA 915 has a theoretical fill rate of 1300 million pixels/second. That's at most 1/30th the power of a 8800GT, 1/8th the power of a 8600GTS. The real yield of the 915 series is more like 1/70th a 8800GT because it does not have HT&L and DX8+ shader techonologies. It can't even run Aero so forget about it running Demigod reasonably For the 950 series, the fillrate is boosted slightly to 1600 million pixels/second. A 8800GT has a theoretical fillrate

SupCom engine has a bug where objects behind translucent objects are not rendered. It was probably to save resources but wasn't fixed for Demigod.

The number that Demigod shows is NOT FPS. It's acutally milliseconds per frame.
2. I am told that Demigod uses Pixel Shader 3. Is this true? If my Pixel Shader 2 video card ran supcom just fine, why should I have to buy a new one for demigod which is supposed to be MORE optimized?
Because SM2 isn't SM3? They might add SM2 back compatibility in the coming patches. The keyword is "might". You x800 owners need to get louder before it's too late (we still have nearly half a year left).

Please measure the FPS using the / key on your numpad. This displays your frametime which is the milliseconds between each frame. Thus, 1000/frametime would give you your real FPS.
