I'm with Morph here. I don't trust anyone anymore who has only a few games played simply because they claim to be oldschool and haven't played since reset. Many many people lie, and many many people think they're good when they're really really not. It's a sad state of affairs, but there's no way around it. Stats may mean very little but in a lobby it's all you have to go on. You can't trust anything anyone says.

I'm with you, Cin. I get frustrated sometimes by weaker players staying weak by not learning the game because they only play Reg (and not learning the game mechanics to use him well) too. Dunno if there's much that can be done about it. I never played Reg much, but maybe someone who's good with him could make a post outlining some basic guidelines on how to play him? Stuff like kiting, the awesomeness (necessity) of mines, how best to time snipes to help teammates, etc.. Maybe there are posts
It's only an N/A if at least one whole team disconnects or concedes before three minutes go by. Basically the game has to end before 3 minutes are up. If there's at least one human player left on each team then the game will continue- and count.
That sounds like fun. I'd be up for that. Though I haven't 2v2'd except for a game or two here and there since around August. But if we could find some way to organize I'd definitely wanna participate. :)
Yeah I've seen that before, a while back. And I think it happened the same way, after I cancelled swap because someone faked a tp, then tried to tp again and I swapped at the last second. We were both at the crystal and I was very very confused lol.
No. I can relate to what you're talking about some games but almost half the games I start have UNPLAYABLE lag and so both teams disconnect before 3 minutes are up so nobody gets a loss and we can remake and hope for no lag, which thankfully, DOES happen. If you take out N/A I think realistically another portion of the playerbase would quit the game entirely for getting losses due to playing through nasty lag that gets everyone killed a few times through no fault of the
What makes you so sure there will be more patches, Smecto?
This is funny because... it's probably true. Far too many cowardly Reg players that don't help the team out because they refuse to engage in fights where the whole team is needed. They think they can contribute sufficiently by sniping from across the map so they can avoid buying any hp items and go the whole game with just 2.5k hp. That way they can save item slots for items like helms and those +25 damage gauntlets and IF I LAND ONE MORE REG TEAMMATE WHO GRABS HUNGARLI
You defeated yourself, sucka. ;) But seriously, you mean you actually got in-game and there were no opposing demigods even existent and the game kept going?
Up until #7 I was going to write about how some of your points are exaggerated or pouring gas on a fire. After reading your fine print I'm upset at you for having made me read what looks like another stupid 'Screw you all, I'm out' post only to find out that you're apparently trying to pull a joke on a friend. This forum is not only read by Ptarth. You just wasted my time as well as anyone else's who read this. Gee, thanks. P.S. All bold is bad fo
Ah, that sucks Nom. I have another note to make now. :)
Yeah, had a nice game with you guys today. It was worth installing Vent again to play a game where I could talk to my teammates. Made coordination a lot easier and more tight. I'd really love to get on again and play a 5v5. :)
Ah, thanks so much! Awesome feature.
My desktop resolution is set to 1600x900. Is there any way I can get the game to run in windowed mode at a certain resolution, taking up a smaller portion of my screen? I assume that even when the game window is not maximized it's rendering at my desktop resolution. I want to run it at 1280x768 so it takes less resources. Is that possible?
Honestly, I vaguely recognize your old name but it doesn't mean anything to me. Do you think you're some kind of Demigod celebrity? It's a bit egotistical to make a post like this. How many "people of demigod" do you think "all thought" you were a smurf account? You sound like you think you're pretty infamous. Dunno what you did or said to give you the rep you think you have but don't let it go to your head too much. Game on, be polite to your fellow gamers, and have fun. :D
This happened to me 3 times a couple games ago. There was an Ice TB on other team using deep freeze on me and my cooldowns for skills and locks jumped to over 200 seconds. It was late-game so yeah he was high-level but at highest level doesn't DF only increase cd's by 220%? How is it my locks were on cd at one point for 228 seconds??? 220% of their original cd (45 seconds) would be 140 seconds or something. Is there something else I'm missing in this equation? This happened THREE times where
I HAVE ALWAYS WONDERED THE SAME THING. :0
I agree with everything in this post. QoT's definitely a liability late-game if the other team is lined with top-tier DG's. No matter how well you play her, in her current state, she cannot keep up with other DG's late-game. You'd only beat top-tiers using her if your team has the better teamwork. But then, you'd beat the other team anyway, since it's all about teamwork in the end. With 'evenly matched' teams she just doesn't scale well late-game as compared to other DG's.
Do your "Clan Wars" plans include a way to take a team into Pantheon? If that is made possible, I think Pantheon will get a lot more use than it currently does.
Oh, you're saying a UB can cast things while Grasping someone?
but the real problem is the locks themselves. Why, after all this time, is a single cap lock still a death sentence? Why is a 30 minute long game being decided in two seconds?
What do you propose to do with locks to solve their problem? Do away with them altogether?
*blinks* You're right about Silence, Charm, Nova. I never see people use them for this anymore and I'd forgotten the possibility IS there. I don't understand your example for Grasp. Could you explain it? 1v1's won't be necessary, You've proved you're right. I'm wrong. I feel stupid for not realizing your other examples. I haven't played other DG's in so long other than UB and I don't see people flag-locking with those skills anymore. Thanks for calmly explaining it to me. Sorr
UPDATE: Been discussing it in another topic and I see I'm wrong to talk as though Oak is uniquely able to flag-lock so effectively by himself. There are other DG's with their own skills that can accomplish the same thing. HorseStrangler reminded me. You can post here still if you'd like, but I'm not going to push my case anymore. It's not valid the way it's worded.
Hell, Erebus can just stun, lock, mist, stun, teleport as much as he wants, or just stun, lock, mist, stun lock if he's spec'd for it.
At least with EB there are windows during which to stun him back and gank him. Oak has one window during which you can get him to prevent him from locking. You have to KNOW he's coming to your flag. You have to tp there before he comes out of the mist, and probably TP with a friend to double-stun and/or scare him off. If you don't get th
HorseStrangler, what's unique to him is that he can lock flags without being interrupted if he has level 3 shield. That's too huge an advantage for a DG to have over all others. Sevenix, you're right about the TP'ing thing. One or the other. At least now he has to make a choice. But what manadrain item is going to get him below 600 when he runs at a flag with full mana? All he needs is that 600 to shield and lock. Yes, Sedna can silence. So this is still balanced if you have to have a
King in terms of being a game-winning demigod if a game lasts long enough for him to get level 3 shield. At that point... Oak is the only demigod who can waltz up to a flag and lock it without even the possibility of being interrupted. THAT is a huge problem. He is the only demigod who can do that, and having an Oak on either team t
