It doesnt show your rank. And no one really cares about rank. Having a high rank means nothing.

Just curious if it will actually be possible for any modders to actually make a new Demigod. From the sounds of it, it is very hard/expensive to make one...is this true? Would be awesome to see some new Demigods made by the community :)
Yay less HP stacking. Will be very interesting how this turns out. We all want HP stacking to be toned down but now we can actually try it for real :D (when 1.2 comes out).
Thank you Stardock and GPG for releasing a seriously basic feature 6 months after release which is basically compulsary for an online orientated game!
our we really discussing the precise definition of "difference" and whether it was used in its right context? lol.
you want some examples of rts games that had manny more players after that time? dow 1, dow 2, any C6C, zed, wc3, .... wtf... NEARLY ANY OTHER GAME!
Dow 1 doesnt... (I think..), No CnC's do (ccg/cnc3/kw/ra3), zed?. I've already said name me on other RTS apart from wc3 yet you still mentioned it. 1.7k players is a lot :)
hahahaha :D stats are bullshit....
The statistics have been tracked since early July, roughly three months after launch. Whatever the peak was for DG, it was hit prematurely in those first three months. You can't claim the game is healthy and vibrant given it's rapid onset into decline within such a short time frame. You're in denial.
You are dont think before you type....EVERY SINGLE GAME HAS A BIG DOWNWARD TREND IN PLAYERS AFTER THE GAME IS RELEASED. On the first day everyone is hyped
The downward trend of online players/games is undeniable
Did any thought go into this comment... Please name me one game that doesnt have a "downard trend of online players". (apart from SC and WC3). Seriously - people always stop playing games eventually and so the trend will drop.
Sorry but I'd say demigod is competing even with CNC Zero Hour, it's about how many games are open in the lobby at one time and that is it,
I've said this lo
The game is dying, i can harldy find a game outside of peek hours. i suggest the developers wake up before it's too late.
Well then your looking for the wrong games/hosting the wrong ones....or doing something wrong. I can get a game going all the time :) And the develo
No, "players in games" also counts all players waiting in open games and all players waiting in the Skirmish and Pantheon queue.
Looking - as in searching the game lobby
As I said, the "players online" number is still somewhat of a mystery to us.
Its not a mystery. The figures are there - just accept them. There doesnt have to be a big conspiracy and such. 1.7k > 700
Red Alert 3 doesnt ;) (i think?) Even though it had HUGE fanbase before it was released (Demigod has zilch)
Could you remind again what the link is to the SupCom stats page (I forgot :\ ) The reason for demigod maybe having lots of "afk" is probably because it takes a while to find a game and start it going (harder to get 3v3/4v4/5v5 going than 1v1....a lot harder). The reason as to why there are so many players whom are "afk" (im putting it in speech marks because they could easily not be) is not really of my concern. The point is at any one time Demigod has a lot more playe
Well, Supreme Commander has 60% more players playing on average.
SupCom has like 700 players online at one time. Demigod up to 2k? There is nothing more active about that then demigod.
11,952 Current players 14,667 Peak Today Empire:Total War 3,245 Current players 3,824 Peak Today Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II
Steam counts these players even if they
* * Member No.3,065,132 * Karma+60 October 5, 2009 1:10:13 PM Any updates, Froggy? Can we expect this to go live this week? TIA!
Yea he posted somewhere else (forget where) that its expected to be officially in this week :)
I keep seeing posts everywhere about how inactive Demigod is, how dead it is, and how it is dying/failing. Thats complete bullshit. The only RTS's that have more users than Demigod are WC3/SC. That is it. You can say HoN is more active but thats because its a direct clone from the popular wc3 map DotA so i would include that under wc3/sc.. Please go ahead and name me one more RTS that is clearly more active than Demig
Yes QoT needs buff. Its pretty obvious everyone thinks so.
1.2 will probably be released later this week or next week. Demigods probably in abou 2-4 weeks? Those are just my plain guesses :)
I remember a game name with "no premades". I joined it, and the host and his team were premade. Its ridiculous...
GPG, like 90% of all other developers out there dont speak on the forums that much. However, Stardock is a special exception, and they post a lot.
This arguement is pointless unless we define what a "PuG Stomper" is. My definition: A team of players who are on VoiP that purposely play agaisnt terrible, inexperienced players who have no VoiP communication and have never played with each other before. They dont use VoiP, they're not even a full "team" (only two of them) and they try their best to play agaisnt good players (hence the title of all their games).
How does very low enemy PuG experience (and the resulting insane win %) indicate that they are very good players? If you defend them and their playstyle, please do not ignore logic. But I guess I have to give up. If not even objective statistics can make you see my point of view, it makes no sense to try anymore. Therefore PuG stomping does not exist. Happy now?
Where do these imaginary ver
Exactly. I mean it's not like they made 8 other DGs prior to these 2. I mean are they just out of practice? I think if I were to make something 8 times I would be able to make it better AND faster the next time. All I am saying is it seems like they take their sweet time. When they do preview something it is apparently MONTHS in advance just to try to keep people hanging on to the game. Here is a pro tip. If you want people to continue to play
The facts (insane win %; very low enemy PuG experience) are still there though.
Maybe its because they are very good players?
Glad your aware of it :) Too many players with 0 wins since the reset are highly ranked :P
