Anyone who counter HoL usually have HoL themselves to try to tip the balance of battle. While a whole other battle was fought to keep HoL advantageous. DemiHoL much? Then again, I really don't care HoL is meta or not. If it is there, I use it, so simple. However, I think people should at least acknowledge that HoL is practically the heart of a body called demigod. There is a problem with HoL aside with oak. The problem being on most maps and with most team setup, a team with HoL will beat a team without HoL almost purely because of HoL. That means HoL is the center of that game. HoL + shield is just icing on the cake.

Although it haven't become a wide spread problem, I suggest some decision to be made toward AFK'ers in game. Especially those who afk the entire game just for favor.

I think when one go up against them, the best you can do is force them to retreat. Chances are, these people also use cloak of night which will teleport out of problems even if you manage to burst -> stun -> chase. There was once that I was up against this kind of team, but luckily I had my LAN buddy around and both of us were TB. 1 ice 1 fire (pure). O.o??!! It is an anti-sedna/QoT/rook/erebus/TB/oak skill. Pop it in the right moment, all hell break loose. If you are not feeling any benefit from it, that means you used it wrong.

Oak spirit is far better purely because of flying. You can even send them off to scout like a cheap totem of relevation above a hole between lanes. They also travel faster to actually hit a demigod escaping, no other minion in the game can do that. I think UB is pure god for maybe 1 minute. Because the moment UB turn into "a god!", the game only last 1 more minute. Acclimation is the true tanking god skill. 40% off all damage if anything hit higher than 500. With ashkandor and bulwark on UB, death simply does not exist. In case people didn't know, there is a 250g item in shop to remove all debuff/stun/freeze off minions. Good minion users will generally have that around. So... don't go like "ha! they are all frozen! I'm going to own the general!!" and die 5 seconds later. Against multiple minion users in 1 location, there really aren't that much to do aside backing off. Back in the beta, this was one of the cheapest item and what made rook completely OP. (roll stun, teleport, hammer, dead demigod) I guess they did over nerf it a bit. However, if this item is cheaper, AND have no way to stop it from activating; it will be a mandatory item that must be bought or die. With it being cheaper, no one will be dying, except the people who don't have one.

At the bottom of the screen where your consumable are (teleport scroll, potion, etc) there are 4 slots, the 4th slot is favor item. When you open favor item there will be another tab that will be either assassin or general only items depending on what you are.

So... what exactly is the issue? I think I am one of those demigod players that had the most variety of problems when playing(trying) demigod, ranging from ISP problem, LAN connection, router configuration, DL/UL speed, outdated modem, favor freeze, rage quitter victim, elitist team mate, and is still playing demigod and look at everyone yellow in my screen. 1vs1? Roll over and die... seriously. Or you can avoid her and cap lock all the flag and wait for your reinforcement to become strong as sedna is horrible against large amount of creeps. Basically you don't fight her, you out smart her. Against low armor assassins (TB is the king of low armor), minions are highly effective against them. Any general who don't take minion against assassin on 1v1 is forfeiting his/her birth right.

Play ice TB in 4v4 or bigger game in a map with tight lanes.

I haven't play for several days (shitty internet issues; not demigod's fault), so I don't know what is the deal for comp stomp right now. The problem is/was that if all your opponents quit, and you end up with computer opponents only (and finished it), it will count as your LOST and you will NOT GET FAVOR. While the "rage quitters" or w/e, will recieve no punishment. That means whoever finished the game recieve punishment for having a lost on their record.
