Anything to stop my monks from suiciding. they can shoot! But just *stand there* and shoot.

I think the real issue isn't that Yeti's "suck", it's that everything else sedna has is better.. The minions themselves are tanky, decent damage, and sedna's abiltiies make them better. but it means losing: Pounce. Heal. Silence. MAgPres. Healing Wind. Inner Grace. Sedna has waaaay too much stuff to keep up on to even think about going minions, IMO, unlike QoT who seems to have much less issue using them, or, Erebus and Oak who pretty much get them free as a matter of course.
Interrrupting is all a matter of reflexes and intuition. You need to be able to quickly recognize the casting animations and click your ability on them, or innately know the characters and be able to accurately guess when they may use their abilities. Regulus's big giveaway for mines, for me, isn't the hand going back, but the fact that he's stopped the autoattack animation. As soon as I see that, you know he's going for the mines in his pocket. Oak is the same. He stops attacking, then lofts
Any reasoning behind going Totem of Revelation, BTW, and not going Banded/Health/Tele Scroll at level 1? I find an increasingly common tactice among assassins (or rather, "non monk buyers") is to buy a tele scroll and tele to the front for an immediate flag capture, normally gold mines, or the health flag on Cataract, the debilitate flag, etc.
Topic title syas it all. Post game chat is very hard to read because it's hidden behind the (sensibly, normally) 'obtrustive' stats screen. But when you're engaging in a bit of post game chat it becomes very hard to read what people are saying. If the box floated on top of stats when you popped it up to type, it'd be a lot easier to see what you're saying, and what others are saying.
Alright, I'll bite. But I don't have a p team. Assuming my work schedule allows me in on Sunday (Normally they do, but I've been filling in hours lately: Retail means I'm never sure when I'll get called in), I'm willing to play... but I'd need a team willing to accept me, haha.
Stardock seems to care but GPG doesn't seem to, on the surface anyways, considering they don't even have the forums in their site and they actively encourage people to not go to theirs. It's like they want to brush the game off as a failure.
The usual idea I see fronted is to give them Wild Swings Cleaving standard, and change wild Swings into something else.
Curiously, what is the "Valor Bug"?
I disagree, that tiny cooldown bonus can make the difference, especially when it comes to things that normally have abhorrent cooldowns. Oak's Shield, for example. And just for damage dealing abilities, being able to burst again that 1-2 seconds faster than your opponent can be enough to throw them off your "cycle", making them unable to interrupt your ability with their own stun. MagPres tends to take a secondary priority on my Sednas but I do try to raise it when I can, especially because,
An instaheal is an instaheal though, and still pretty sweet.
pooling items should be removed from the game.
Why? It seems like a viable strategy. You trade general expertise to kit out one demigod to an extreme.
I'm not familair with Horn of Battle. It looks like it does a Heart of Life-like effect, 200 HP a second for 10 seconds? Perhaps if the Horn was made to function like the Heart, where if a minion takes damage it stops regenerating, perhaps it mgiht go a ways towards staunching the percieved overpoweredness of the Horn. But I'll be the first to admit I don't play minion builds of generals nor have I ever used the Horn of Battle, so I'm not sure how
Also I saw some post where someone mentioned a "smart team would stagger their ranks of priest". What is the benefit of this? Wouldn't having all of the highest rank of priest (sedna bug excepted) be ideal? The rule is you can be healed once per 8s per type of priest. So if two allies have bishops in the same location, a DG will only be healed once per 8s. Obviously this is a waste. If you have High Priests + Bishops, you'll

How cool is that? AWESOME! I hereby christen the UB + Ooze + BotS build "Gunksaber".
With a name like that I feel compelled to try it out... :D
Kudos to you for starting it but I don't think I have enough time to devote to Demigod for a tournament scene, unfortunately. Nor do I think I'm 'good enough'. :)
Fighting a group of general who all bought monks as their first game is a nightmare. The staying poower is incredible.
Perhaps if you'd invested some of your huge excess gold into your citadel, you might not have run into the issues you've found. It seems like your topci here is a good example of how sometimes the best equipped demigod can't save you if you ignore your citadel upgrades.
It sounds like you had a bad matchup. Where were your allies? you talk about synergy among the enemies but complain about allies teaming up. As Frost TB you have many interrupts and debuffs, including a very powerful group stun. With all your gold I can only assume you were very well geared. What of your allies? I admit Oak/Sedna/QoT is a pretty extreme matchup. Tons of minions and priests, and if they were smart, they all chose 3 different monk types to stack healing better, along wi
For me personally it's not that I hate cataract but that everyone plays cataract. As far as the gold flag goes though, it does make that corner tower inordinately important to protect. If it goe sdown early you have to watch the flag from ninjaing DGs the rest of the game.
The loss of health is the harshest penalty possible, and, i believ,e no items in game currently come with a penalty. I think this is a nice theme to stay with: Items should always be good things. Blade of the Serpent, Warlord's Staff, Essence of Mana, Cloak of Night, these things do give extra mana.
Buff nerfing Nerf buffing
The proximity of the towers in Zikurat in the beginning creep alnes inherently lends some early benefit to the ranged demigods, and the two maps with passable BatSwarm gaps are a huge boon for Erebus.

Interesting idea. I like it.
