Reply to Copies sold? in Demigod
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/demigod-expects-100-000-by-next-friday
Uh, that's an unconfirmed figure (and a prediction at that) from the the game's publisher. Hardly an unbiased and independent source. I'll stand by my earlier estimate until a better source is cited. Suspending disbelief for a moment and using the 280,000 figure, that means only 12% who bought the game went online with it, which makes no sens
Frogboy stated "hundreds of thousands" in another thread, but nothing more specific than that.
Actually, that number makes no sense. There are just over 36,000 players ranked in the pantheon. Some smallish fraction of players may not play multi-player games, or may only play LAN games, so somewhere around 40,000 is probably a realistic estimate of total copies sold.

I recall some level of grief over the current strategy of teleporting in to re-lock a captured flag just as the prior lock expires, with the proposed solutions being a flag unlock item or a delay on the use of a flag lock after using a teleport scroll or after the earlier flag lock expires. I think the problem with the flag unlock item is that it may lead to locks becoming useless because they can be quickly unlocked. Any delay is also problematic because flag locks are often us

I think if he could be damaged while in mist form, it would kill the utility of the skill. The totem description could benefit by simply removing the word "cloaked".
How are Stardock supposed to prioritise the complaints of the community when every single one is listed as "FIX THIS NOW OR GAME DIES" by the people making the noise? You clearly spend some time on the forum, which are the most important issues for the entire community?
Please refrain from exageration. There are numerous polite and helpful bug and bug summation threads that have been around since launch.

In my opinion, much of the frustration isn't necessarily over what is missing, but over the glacial pace of fixing what is already there. If I recall correctly, there were even two or three instances where the community found and provided the fix for a problem, and nothing happened for weeks or months. I personally find the prioritization of fixes puzzling. For example, v1.19 fixed angel flight movement and something to do with repulsion. I don't recall any complaint

In their current incarnation, they do not accurately reflect true skill. Your best bet is to just look at total games played and assume those with 100+ have enough experience to know how to play decently.

These griefers are acting badly, but the solution is to consistently and truthfully advertise the game you are hosting as premade or PUG. Period. The fact that you have to wait longer for a premade game to fill should tell you that a lot of people are not looking for that type of game. It's disingenuous to change the game description, erodes your credibility, and, to an extent, justifies what these griefers are doing. Some solo players don't mind joini

Some players are ass-hats, but calling them out in a public forum isn't the proper way to deal with them. The new notes system helps, and I would personally like to see an in-game karma system like we have here in the forum.
I just feel the system is flawed and needs addressed for those of us that care about competative play.
I'm paraphrasing, but Frogboy stated that DG was not designed for competitive play (or at least not intensely competitive). This came up when comparisons to HoN and LoL were being made in other threads. But the presence of the ranking system would appear to contradict that design intent, so your frustration with its flaws is not unwarranted.<

I think mines are fine. When I'm fighting Reg and he throws them at my feet, I move closer to him. There's just enough time to do that, but not enough to turn around and get away. The only time this doesn't work is when the area is busy with lots of other stuff and I missed seeing the mines getting thrown. Sometimes I don't see Reg or Erebus teleport in either, because they're small and easily blend in with minions or get blocked from view by that clumsy Rook. <

No Fire TB auto-attack may have been intentional, that just means the bug is a design flaw rather than a coding flaw. It's still a bug, the community is virtually unanimous on it, so it should be fixed.
*sigh*
LoL. Bummer. The three issues I most commonly run into are still there... 1. No Fire TB auto-attack. 2. Wand of Speed still cancels last move order when used. 3. Creating a second Circle of Fire before the first has expired will end both when the first expires.
We are still debating whether the public should be able to see all notes or only that user.
Rather than making notes public (or even having notes at all), how about adding the capability for users to give a thumb's up or down to other users (ideally on conclusion of a game). It's not much different than the karma system used on these forums, and gives a more immediate picture of what to expect from this user in your game rather than sorting through

I can live with the price increase, but would really like to see the "cancel last order" bug that it is afflicted by fixed. I think many of the instant cast items have this issue and it's a real PITA.

Obscenitor: I think you missed my point (or more likely I didn't express it clearly enough). Although each DG has a bigger set of skills (with associated assets) than HoN or LoL characters, they also tend to gravitate towards two or maybe three different builds using those skills. So is there really any difference between having one character with two or three personalities, or three characters with one personality each? One could argue there's a strategic factor in
