According to the game manual, you get a XP boost for holding portal flags. I assume this was set in place to make up for the fact that you are in effect generating XP for the other team. Who knows if it actually works like that or not... I don't exactly trust what tiny bit of documentation we do have.

Some people seem to subscribe to the theory that whichever game ends first is the one that is recorded during a split. I'm inclined to agree with you, though... It's more likely the game that the host is in, imo. I would need to look back on my history a bit to figure it out.

There are two uses of the word troll. I think you are using the less common of the two. Yeah, trolling can be used to describe people who lurk 24-7 and hop right on posts all day long. More often, trolling is about the attitude. Is somebody just laying down flamebait all day long? Are they pointing out the negative parts of what people say and ignoring their valid responses? Mostly people troll either for self satisfaction. i.e., making easy joke
