The hard copies sound intriguing; but the PDFs? Didn't Wizards just yank ALL pdf support? And are you selling via a distributal service or are you just bootlegging them to others? If you're bootlegging, whatever, your decision. It's just why the hell would I pay for a pirated PDF?

Someone else has showed this before, but heck it's fun to throw in: A quote from Blizzard's FAQ on Warcraft III : Does Warcraft III have a Client/Server Model? No. Due to the amount of units and the number of players in a game of Warcraft III, it is not possible to implement a straight Client/Server architecture as in Diablo I
That's why even I (the guy who originally was part of the advocating of the alternatives until stuff gets fixed) quit pushing and using Game Ranger....it seems for every legit on there, a dozen pirates show up. And they still try to join legit games, even though they can't play, because I'm convinced the pirates still have the "trying to win" attitude. However, as noted in other posts and in the Game Ranger update, they're soon going to start requiring the patched versions to play. &n
So once we get Clan support, we're gonna have Foxtrot vs. Kitteh vs. Hedgehogz tourneys right?
Demigod actually has a friends list as well, press shift tab when in the game to bring it up. It is a little flakey and doesn't really have any useful features like joining an existing lobby with your friend in it etc.
Yeah but GR does have all those atm, and I can leave it running while doing other things when I'm not playing DG, but looking for a possible match with friends. Of cour
I think the forums have already been used to death to vexx happiness, anger, sorrow and joy regarding the wild ride that has been Demigod. That said, I'm kinda proud this hasn't been a cry thread. Stardock guys: You guys have been through a lot, have done a lot, and may still have a lot to do but I'm thinking in six months, it'll be worth it. You guys should write books/films talking about the events that have transpired here. The 30 min video Frogboy put out on day 7 was awesome.
That's good news if that's the case... unfortunately, game ranger's timing could have used a kick in the butt to do that a little sooner... Odds are by the time that is in place, we'll hopefully be on a new build with most of the connectivity issues resolved. Nice if they make it harder for pirates to enjoy themselves.
TBH, I'll probably continue using Game Ranger when the update hits, just because t
The good news is they're requiring the patched copies soon. GG vs. Piracy.
Game Ranger is about to drop support for unpatched versions of Demigod. I think a lot of us will return when we're not getting flooded by ignoramus's who still try to join our games even when labeled.
Did anyone else see the latest Gameranger announcement that soon it will be requiring patched,up-to-date versions of Demigod? Score one for the legits.
I choose Death. Wait Cake! I meant cake!
If I'm going to play with VoIP, I only want it with Team Mates. Listening to shit talkers is one thing, and even voice available in PuGs is an annoying thought since I bet it's only going to be people arguing instead of playing. If you want VoIP really bad, there's plenty of solutions past Vent and TS for cheaper people: -> Xfire now has dedicated voice chatrooms and the quality isn't bad. ->There's a free program called <a href=
Can I Haz Your Account? I have some friends I want to drag into this game.

I'm going to /sign on coming up with something other than Immunity (and I'm an Oak player.) Anatarr11's idea I think is perfect....either a blink that is essentially a small range teleport (just enough to get out of most melee or short range attacks; still sucker to Regulus etc.) or Invisibility. The idea of a possible scout general could be kinda fun, especially with the Charm Beasts skill. Get up behind enemies, charm beasts right when allies clash, and now that your invisibil
Only thing I regret is clicking on cry threads. Everything else has been fun.
So, when will they be in? So that I might consider buying the game?
They're busting their tails on it; go check out the Dev journals and watch the video diaries to get a glimpse at what all of the entails. Long story short: When you see less connectivity griping in forums and people start flaming more about stuff being over powered and general multiplayer trash talking commences (like in every healthy game), then you know
Funny, my .93 games connect fine. I've had many 6-man games over Game Ranger, and even a buddy of mine picked the game up today and we hopped on and played no sweat. He didn't even have to mess with port forwarding.
Some Gameranger questions... First off, I have a legit copy and was a beta tester (not that that matters) When I go into Gameranger I see .91 and .93 versions. I understand that .93 is current (legit) while .91 is old and presumably pirates. However, what do .91 and .93 correspond to? Impulse says I'm running 1.00.048. (Though now that I open DG I see that it says I'm up to 1.00.093). That que

For the peeps who get disenchanted seeing the .91 rooms: First off, check and log in during prime times. I just hopped on (9:12 PM, CST) and saw a good number of rooms marked .93 I saw a good share of .91 as well, and most rooms were simple labeled irregardless. Make sure to open up the chat lobby and post your channels when you host; also, practice good sportsmanship and actually socialize with your opponents and friends. "Why, carebear noob, should I
You might as well post a link to the torrent to download the game too. You've already come this far.
Hey, we play in our lobbies, you and your friends can play in yours. If you want to be a douche about it, let me have your legit retail so you can go back to playing with your cheapskate friends that Stardock won't support. It'll be one less person crying.
If they raise minions, wouldn't they be considered Generals then? Make it "Pirate Captain" or something :P My ideas from this: 1) If Dark gets a Pirate, my knee jerk reaction is Lightside gets a Ninja. Assassin obviously. if not then..... 2) The Judge Or Perhaps we should call her Justice? Yeah, I'm talking the blind lady with scales in one hand, the sword in the other. It would make an awes
this game is -- currently -- shareware-quality junk. EIGHT Demi-gods and a handful of maps? ... Nonexistent singleplayer?
