i dont think ppl that say 2 rooks or something is the same as 2 beasts are getting the picture...Its the fact that u can't escape that combination of the slow down, speed, grasp, and spit that is overpowered. Even two spits itself is not overpowered and I agree with that. I'm just saying, there are no other combination that allows for that type of stun and slowdown in addition to 3000 damage every 8 secs that make escape impossible.
He's just removing the concept of Bots joining the game like real players, which they did in Pantheon, and no one liked that idea.
Which was totally the correct decision. While I think a mode against a variety of learning, custom, unique bots could be interesting, when I click the Multiplayer button instead of the Singleplayer button, it's to play against /with other
How much resources does XFire take to record, and how good are the options? I've been meaning to possibly record some Demigod or something at some point, but I remember FRAPS being incredibly resource heavy.
Well. this is not exactly an MMO, so maybe you're right. In comparison, what do I know or understand about Demigod? Hopefully the bots would've been improved, but since everyone hates them, might as well remove them all together.
Remove from competitive multiplayer? Yes. Remove from everything? Heck no. Bots are excellent to learn with, and the occassional comp stomp can be amusing.
I also see a lot of NO NOOBS comments in th

It's Prison. Prison is, in my opinion, the worst map ever. One side or the other gets horribly and completely trounced every game. I don't think I've ever seen a game of prison with fewer than a 10-15 kill difference between the teams. You were just on the wrong side. Now, that said, I find an early Shield helps give Oak and his teammates a much needed survivability boost.
I think it's a HP scaling issue. I consider TB to be one of the better late game heroes as I play him, but I simply could never chew through 8K HP unless the target was AFK.

I sat through it, but the thought "spit is overpowered" was basically all I could think (as if me losing would imply anything, with a grand 2 online games on my resume =P ), together with utter terror when I encountered the illustre duo. But I'll see if any of this helps. It seems to make sense. Thanks for the effort
A few tip

I'm not 100% sure I would have kicked him from the forums, but probably would have. However, banning him from ever purchasing a SD game again is overboard. He was banned because the community didn't like him, given a refund and banned from DG because he requested one, and banned from ever using SD again because Frogboy didn't
Orb of Defiance is a useable item that makes you invulnerable for 5 seconds, and it cleanses all debuffs, including Venom Spit. It also acts like a Nimoth replacement (+500 HP, +500 Armor) passively as well. So, you can remove Spit and still have a free favor slot. Edit: The monk thing (buy, cast, sell) is an exploit though, and shouldn't be part of your recommendations. Hopefully that's on the to do list for a fix in the near future. Still an exc

It should also switch cast times with Venom Spit meaning BW gets 0.3 and VS gets 0.5 Spit could use a slight nerf too, an increase of recharge from 7 to 10, a decrease of range of 66%, and 2 spits shouldn't stack.
A gigantic cast time increase (66%), a gigantic coold
If you're getting kills without Foul Grasp (outside of 2v1s or the occasional fluke), your opponents are so new at the game that no reasonable conclusions can be drawn. Honestly, that's just ridiculous, and if I ended up in that game, I would hit you on the nose with a rolled up newspaper. And for that matter, you only rarely kill a general 1v1 in the game without at least three buttons (venom, ooze, foul grasp), as they all have pretty good defenses against spit.
I've been having crash problems in custom games, which is a new issue to the 5/18/08 patch I believe. This is the error report: Failed assertion: Reached the supposably unreachable.
Vengeance and Vyper, your arguments hinge on the premise that doing something in your own interest at the expense of others is bad. This premise is inconsistent with the manner in which you are applying it. Leaving a game early is self serving and does have a negative impact on the remaining players, but it is equally self serving to demand that another person spends their time with you when that person does not want to and this will also have a negative impa
I would like to see Rook Towers fundamentally changes to be: a. more killable overall b. Take less of Rook's time Power off the Tower is four skill points ever, so it should give 4 skill points worth of effect, or to state it another way, even a Tower based Rook should be required to do other things in order to be effective. That's why I say each tower should be 50% more mana, 50-75% more damage, and the same HP, but you get only 1
Frogboy, Pretty please with sugar on top, do NOT allow a single player to concede without penalty. It should be a team decision or nothing. Even if you remove the demigod (rather than allow the AI to feed), it still greatly disadvantages the remaining teammates. People do need to be encouraged to finish games. As for additional features (most of these are repeats): 1. Replays are a big one. 2.A few UI changes: a. Health and

I feel like this is a matchmaking issue more than anything. People who can't afford the cheaper good favor items have only played a few games, and I shouldn't be playing with them at all, short of custom games. Also, one of my concerns with your suggestion, line0042, is that favor items that were only available at higher war ranks would have to be ridiculously good to compete. Economically speaking, a small benefit now has to be counterbalanced by a large benefit later,
For one, I strongly believe in conceding games when they are finished, but the people I call "rage quitters" are those who quit within the first 5-10 minutes because things went slightly unacceptable. That's like quitting a game of chess because you lost a pawn. It's ridiculous, and it's unfair to all of the remaining players. For two, the way I would handle concessions is this: There is a vote to surrender which anyone can pick (minimum X minutes between votes, so that
My change to HoL would be to simply double the heal duration. That alone would probably balance it, as you would have a lot more downtime, and it would be harder to get the full duration without being cancelled by angels or trebuchets or whatever. There are some hidden gems in the trinket section. Narmoth's ring is actually a very good item for certain heroes, for example.

Custom game: Seems to be pretty good, but there generally is one guy who cannot connect to one other person, despite, say, connecting to 7 others. Sometimes a rejoin fixes it, but on occassion the rejoining player loses their slot, so a little work here wouldn't be bad. Mostly good.
