XSive_Death, spikes only , lasting 4-15 seconds, and then reverts back to normal for a few seconds, and then again, spike for 4-15 sec and so on. The spikes range from 500 to 1400+, while the game almost freezes for everyone. Four out of five matches i have this problem , so you see why it's driving me mad since it's the only game i have that does this online! <a

I'll try and explain (again): Yes, i know that's my ping with one of them (or two, or all). Because it's a peer2peer game, i may have this high ping only with one of the players, and the rest of them suffer because of this. How do i know this? In some games, in the same situation, one of the other players quit, and then the lag dissapeared. I was also able to play some games with low ping, but it's completely random: -i join only rooms where the host has <150 ping with me</
Everyone in the chatrooms ingame is bitching about how long it takes to get into a game. And half the time when you do, the lag is unbearable, someone quits, etc. Battle.net is and always has been the best implementation of multiplayer connectivity. The problem is its super expensive so only ballers like Blizzard can do it.
Battle.net has to support Wow players, millions of them. Many games that don't

I guess DGs multiplayer works for you, yes? And you think if it works for you, than it works for everyone, right? Let me tell you something about one of the important differences between peer2peer and client/server: -in a clinet/server game: If i have a ping of 1000 to a server (let's say a battle.net server), only i can't play the game, the rest of the players in the game are unaffected by my high lag. -in a peer2peer game: If i have a ping of 1000 to one of the players in th

Taken from another thread: Demigod utilizes a Peer-to-Peer (p2p) connection instead of the more common client/server architecture. DoTA and most RTS are client/server. FPSes are also client/server. Basically in layman terms, as long as there is 2 people in the game that has high ping to each other, the game will lag for everyone. A common scenario is a game consisting of Singaporeans, Koreans and Australians. To us Singaporeans, w
And you think pirates can't do the same thing? File comparison programs are available for anyone. Remember the CS Source updates, that were only available on Steam. And many more. It's not a problem, if they really want to, they do it. [quote who="stryker247" repl
Whats the point of the other 5 threads of people saying they pirated it? With you replying on it that you did as well?
None. Same as this. If i was a mod, i would delete all these threads. They don't bring anything constructive to the forum. Just clutter. And you? Why are you posting?

Lol, and you want a prize now? What's the point of this stupid threads anyway? You like it, buy it. You don't like it, don't buy it. Simple. All other things are irrelevant.

It's still futile, imo...The easier the DRM is, the easier to crack is. It's a matter of hours, not days, to crack and release such a game. But it's still a pain in the *** for legit users, as this net-impulse-only updates are. The only thing that stoped pirates to release cracked updates for Demigod is because the game isn't so popular yet...

I too pirated it because i needed it to see it before buying. And since there was no demo...Anyway, i've preorder it here in Europe. Btw, why in Europe it gets released a full month after the release in US? This sucks... Maybe it's wrong, maybe not, but in the end i bought and that is what counts. Some people would never buy it, even if there wasn't a pirated copy available. Some, like me and others, bought it after playing the pirated copy. Others don't bother and buy

Well, the DOTA map is pretty much flat, so the concept could be adapted to Demigod. What i miss from DOTA is that you could hide in the forest and ambush players. Also, there were those neutral zones, with NPC monsters that you could kill for exp and gold. All this can work in Demigod, if they want to.

See Tages or Starforce, now that's what i call an annoying DRM (for the pirates, as

Hmmm, i think the only DG that is kinda weak is the Queen of Thorns. The rest of them are pretty balanced, they all *can* be powerfull, the weakest link is only the player, imo...

Also, the text that displays who died and who killed who, should be made red (if a team

The retail version you can install it on any offline pc and play it, without having to connect to the internet to register. Only if you want updates. The online copy needs you to be online (and registered) when you install it (=DRM). I choose the retail version because of this thing.

I agree with the OP. I really don't get it why the retail Demigod is drm free (until you need to update, that is..), while the digital isn't. They are both easy to pirate, if someone really wants to. Steam only games are pirated the day they are released, so i imagine the same for Impulse. Most of the Stardock/Impulse games are not DRM free, this is bs. There are just DRM light. But not "drm free", as they are advertised.

1) Press "T". The camera centers on your demigod and follows your moves. 2) I agree. But for me i like to zoom out/in, seems quick and looks very cool... 3) I don't understand what you are referring to. But i have a similar problem: The demigods in your team have the same color (green) as your troops, and it's hard to see where are your team members are, if they stand in the middle of a friendly mob (lol). Either make the creeps other color on the map (like white), or the team

It's getting fixed: 4. Favor Points and such. There’s some annoying stuff happening with favor points which is related to the ranking system in Demigod as well. First off, we plan to reset the rankings at some point when we enter Epoch 1 (we are in Epoch 0 presently game-wise, I’ll explain Epochs later but in short, every so often we’re going to reset the rankings, save the results as an epoch and go from there). In Epoch 1, custom games won’
