dota was all about ganks and team work. Demigod is about citadel upgrades, war score, and capturing flags .
And how do you accomplish that? Not by team work too?

I agree the game can get old really fast in the current state (i still have fun playing it though, but i don't see myself playing it after 2-3 months). DOTA it's a great game but suffers from an overflow of heroes (seriously, 90+ heroes?), that make the game way more difficult to master than it should be, an asshole community that's not fun to play with and last but not least, DOTA is a mod, without official support. So i think it would be no shame if Demigod would try to incorporate more of

I'm not explaining myself again. If you're happy with just 8 demigods, that's fine. I understand both Dota and Demigod, how each of them works. Do you? I've said that they are not the same, but share many of the core ideas, and one of them is demigods/heroes. Ffs, the whole game is based on them.

I'm not saying we should need 80+ heroes, lol. Not even 40. But 20-30 would be a good number, imo. 8-10 is too little, because i can think of many unique and interesting abilities that are missing from the game right now. For example look at this thread: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/349668/page/1/#2176328
I look through the forums a great deal and I certainly don't see a lot of discussion of "bugs". I'm not personally aware of anything that most people would consider serious in Demigod beyond network-related issues.
Please, take a look here (the first post and the last) : h

If you make the demo MP online playable and with limited demigods, PLEASE consider to put the demo players on a separate server or something. Because if not, the full game owners will have a hard time playing online with an invasion of only one type of Demigod (the one that was included in the demo)...

Some additional bugs that need fixing: - When you run from someone who is chasing you, and you use a potion of life, after you drink it, the character turns back and attacks the chaser (or a creep, if it finds one near him) instead of continuing to run. Right now it seems that all characters have the attack command prioritizing over anything else, and is very frustating when you just want to run from someone with 1 HP. -the alt-tab is bugged (tested in vista and win 7 only). Not joining...just neutral and not necesserely demigods. Yes, this could work, like in DOTA, where there were neutral heroes on the map, and you could kill them if you wanted, for some item or gold. And then they will respawn and stay at their place for the rest of the game. But for this to work, we will need new maps, designed with them in mind... Anyway, it's wishful thinking, i doubt they will implement this (or other things that take too much time to make)....

"Third, and this is where we need your help: The demo. We will be working with GPG on the demo but I was thinking of proposing that the demo for Demigod be multiplayer ONLY. Moreover, I would like the demo players to be able to play online with legitimate players. Here's where we need your help: What do you think would be a good way to limit this demo then in order to get people to still buy the game?" Imo, it's really needed a small

Comanoodle , i agree, that's what i was talking about in my other reply here. Lots of bugs unrelated to the connection issues or the rushed updates. For example, i understood from some beta player that the DG deselect/freeze bug was known in the beta, but didn't get fixed in the final version. I know (hope) they will get fixed, but the retail game is far from a "finished game"...

The game still has many bugs, that are not related to the connection issues. So i don't know what you mean by "game shipped finished". For example, the click ability bug is so common and frustrating, that it's an enigma how it eluded beta.

No, because you have enough points to cover almost all of the skills of one particular demigod by the end of the match (if you reach lvl 20). Some of the demigods can have 2 builds, if you really want to specialize in something (in a short match), but not more.

Very good thread and post, you sir have +1 karma from me. [e digicons][/e] This is exactly what we need, a brainstorming thread about future abilities. I'll post some of my ideas at a later time. But in general, i think we need some crazy abilities, not just direct dps dealers.

Because more heroes lead to more interesting and diverse matches. You can only do a finite combination with 8 demigods and their items, and can get old fast. Not so with 20+ demigods. I'm not saying that i'm bored already with Demigod, but i'm not seeing myself playing the same matches after 4 months or so. I'm not even saying that i'm disappointed with the initial release of just 8 demigods, as they will take some time to fully master them. But imo, they need to release 1 or 2 demigods every
Not really, those 4 DGs where cut. There is also there is the fact that Frogboy has stated that the two new demigods will be designed to fill gameplay areas that the community find lacking, or something similar. So even if the character concept is set, they still are semi-listening about the two new DGs skillsets
I'm sorry, but you're wrong. See this recent real interview with the lead creators of Demigod, not Frog

Great interview, but i wish they post on these forums, the lead designers for GPG, not only Frogboy...:(

Does Gas Powered Games Plan On Implementing Our Ideas? There, fixed. The lead designers are from GPG, they made the demigods, items, maps, etc. Stardock is only the publisher and as far as i know, they only helped implement the netcode. I really wish that some people from GPG would post on these forums (in the Demigod section)...

I've played a little DOTA, but i never could learn it in order to be a good player. It's way, way too hardcore, you absolutely MUST memorize ALL the 80+ heroes and items and their interactions in order to have a chance and not be kicked from the game, lol. I don't hate it though, i love the concept and many things, but it's way too hard to master. Maybe if i would have played it from the beginnings, like many veteran players, it would have been easier to learn. But for a new player, it's a he

Imo, Regulus and QoT. Regulus has very low base dmg and it's base movement speed is too slow. It doesn't have any chance against any other demigod, 1v1, without some uber items. He needs those uber items to shine. And they cost money, a lot of money. Is fun to play with him though... QoT is good only vs structures, but not as good as Rook.. Her shield is good at the beginning, but it's kinda useless later, when it only takes 1-3 hits to take it down. Her wave attack is weak also. The
