All are overpowered, or none, depending how you look at it. I think this is how it should be, as they are GODS after all.

[quote]Try Oak. Put your exp points into shield, it negates the effects of spit and a lot of UBs other moves. Pestilence or whatever it's called it's extremely useful because not only does it do high damage.... it slows UB down. So if he runs off after finding out his spit bullshit didn't work, Use pest... and then give chase.... however... here's the bullshit part.... by the time you give chase and start wailing at him, he's got spit back... it has a low cooldown...and guess what... your shi
This is a very powerful strategy for sure, this is usually how i end my games. after about 5 minutes gametime i try to rob the enemy of their spawns, shifting the balance instantly. Even if they choose to recap them and defend, i just pick the other flags on the map meanwhile. more flags = win.
Heart of life is not really op, as it can only be used OUT of battle. it wont affect actual battles, will only shorten the interval between them. If you let the opponent get away, he use HOL then come back 10 seconds later again. for 4500 gold this is kinda balanced i think. since 4500 gold is alot, really, and by this time, the game could(should) have been more or less decided anyway. At least the way i play. most games are over under 20 minutes of gametime. Perhaps increase the cooldown to
Right now there are two kinds of people in this game, those that think "this" or "that" is overpowered, and those that can see the broader perspective, that every char has something that is overpowered, and in the end it all evens out, all the other factors considering. This is like the beginning of Starcraft 1 really. Hydras ar overpowered, mutas are overpowered, zealots are overpowered, Siege tanks are op etc etc. There are always other factors to consider. This is what gives a game staying
Have happened to me too, and alot of other people. And you are on the right track. If more than one people leave at the start of the game, hit tab and check the pings. if everyone is 0 ping, its actually YOU that got disconnected, and at this point it doesnt matter if you play or not, since the other players probably steamroll your AI double in the "live" version of that game anyway, and get the win. I usually just quit the game when i notice everyone have 0 ping.
i agree this is a serious problem. so is the favour items, and the demigods not responding to your attack commands once in awhile, costing you a kill. however there are more serious problems taking precedence right now. (network connectivity) [e digicons]:D[/e]
This i due to the "host" of the game kicking players before it starts, most of the time. Say its originally a 2v2, but before it starts either the host kick the ai (cause he dont like ai:s) or the player that too slow to connect "is not connected to anyone". When it starts, it will only contain the remaining players. Something funny i did once and you can try yourselves, is kick any other players when you become the "host" (you have access to the kick function) and the game will start with on
Next pantheon has already started. And Favor is still broken, giving some people that bother to edit ther game.ini file before each match an edge. (yes, you can set your own favor as of now but it gets reset after each match, so you have to quit game, edit the file to get the points you want, then relaunch game again after each match. the players that actually bother with this gains an distinctive edge over everyone else that settles with the 0 favor)
Since the last patch i have noticed the negative favor bug to be removed, but instead we have the 0 favor bug... Since its kinda random what amount of favor points you will have available in game right now, (most of the time 0 though), the sides will be imba from the start, with a few persons getting them and other not. This has been a issue since the start in online games, before the first patch it was just not synched between online and offline
i still have major issues as well... 2 out of 3 games never start, with someone "not connected to anyone" so i have to cancel after 5 minutes wait and try again (pantheon). Also, 2 out of 3 games that actually start, have someone disconnect right at the start of the game, the rest of them are extremely laggy, sometimes someone leaving midgame due to the heavy lag.
Also something i forgot... Dont put stupid AI in ladder matches. Ever. They are to easily farmed, and i have lost several pantheon games due to AI ally getting farmed despite me having 0 deaths, until the opposing team (having 2-3 humans vs me and AI) are so rich they can simply buy the victory. if you are gonna put the AI in game, at least use the best one available, to be on par with humans.
Im sorry if i posted this in the wrong forum first (demigod journals) please feel free to remove this. Despite the current networking issues that are being worked on, (which we all know, thank you stardock!) i think there are a few other improvements that would be nice to the networking interface. After clicking pantheon->choosing demigod, i also think players should have the option to "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" on certain maps or
Despite the current networking issues that are being worked on, (which we all know, thank you stardock!) i think there are a few other improvements that would be nice to the networking interface. After clicking pantheon->choosing demigod, i also think players should have the option to "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" on certain maps or gamemodes which they simply do not want to risk playing. For example, see the warcraft 3 battle.net ladder functionality, you can choose 2 out of the available
