[quote who="TheGuildfordStrangler" reply="11" id="2166848"]Not really. Bite's his only consistant damage and healing tool, and once you disable that move, be it through mana denial, stun, or silence, you've crippled him. Plenty of characters can outdamage and outheal him. The only thing that sets him apart is he does it at the same time. Characters like Oak and QoT can tear Erebus apart, or give their allies the ability to do so, very easily. Sedna can tank him Oak can deny hi

Ultroman, I like the way you think -- but then you'd have to have angelic fury sap mana by the second not by the shot. HEY, doesn't sound too bad! I think this thread is going places.

First -- wall of text, dude. Second -- if you're going to build lore for your character, remember the lore for the game you're trying to place him in. These are all sons and daughters of the Progenitor. Nobody in this game is a wizard in the sense that they learned to weild arcane powers through a book. It's all in the family, as they say. As far as abilities -- you realize you made all your skills with cast times, where not a single demigod in the game already is wi

Sedna's really a party player. Her pounce does some great damage and it interrupts so she's got a real killer there. Her huge problem is dealing with a lot of units. Not having any AoE abilities, she depends on her minions to take care of multiple targets. Also, she's not very great at taking down towers as her normal attack is somewhat weak and she has no anti-structure abilities. Play Sedna in 4v4s and stick with a buddy. You'll get not only a lot of assi

[quote who="chaosbrynn" reply="15" id="2165119"] I have NO activatable skills. My game is played by being underestimated by my opponents, being where I need to be and strategically outmaneuvering and outplaying my opponent. Not having 2 or 3 extra buttons to press doesnt make it any less fun, I find them an annoyance if nothing else. When I play this build all I need is my mouse and the camera keys. This allows me to have MUCH better situational awareness of the entire map as I dont need

Yes, I have had issues with foul grasp as well! Also Sedna's pounce sometimes doesnt go, and more troubling it and other abilities like it cancel attack, so then the AI defense-attacks the nearest target. Incredibly infuriating when your killing blow is off by ~100, you're still in range, and one more hit woulda done the trick -- but a priest or archer is closer to you so you attack that instead.

Technically, yes, ToxDrawace, it is helping. The issue with this game style is that it would require its own maps, as would something like an Assault-type game play, and that makes it harder to implement. Also, you cant have recharge crystals -- OR you could only have them active inbetween waves or that would make gettin through things way too easy, since you essentially never leave town in a survival map (why would you?). This makes it harder to implement but not imposs

Minimap is huge -- it's almost worthless as it is now, except for checking what flags you still own. I'd really like to click on it and then see where I clicked, but more than that I'd like to click a teleport scroll, then click on the minimap and teleport to the nearest allied structure.

Regulus is one of the best demigods in the game and, unsurprisingly, one of the easiest to play. While I agree getting wings is a little ... anticlimactic -- the angelic splendor really isnt there -- "because it FEELS right" isn't a good reason to put something in a game, especially when you'd effectively be buffing an already very strong character.

It's not a programming problem, really, but an artistic one. Proper palleting it seems was simply not considered. Take a look at TF2 -- Valve went through great pains so you could tell in less than a second whether a person was on your team as well as what class they are! Team colors sharply contrast and the shapes of each class are as different as possible. In demigod? Not so much. Late game, there are even demigods that get lost among common creeps!&nbs

I too have noticed this but even more infuriating, sometimes I'll click a number to prep one of my skills and then click a demigod and it wont cast for some reason -- even when I've got all the mana in the world. It might be bugging because they're out of my immediate range? If that's the case, it should always attempt to move me within range, which usually it does. It's very strange but it's been noted by me as well as a few other players before -- specifically with sedna

I'm not surprised to find some people finding real uses for Enhanced Attributes, but uvfragm's post in particular is upsetting. Never do I want anyone to be able to make a kill on someone simply by right clicking on them. These builds sound like the maximum output from the minimum input -- and you could argue that its the uses of gold and the premeditation of the build that makes it legit, but it nonetheless makes the game far less participatory. I like fights where Sedn

I feel the only two heroes that have a hard time making kills are the Queen of Thorns and the Rook, but both are incredibly durable, are amazing at anti-structure and creeping. Even more than Sedna, believe it or not, these two are the selfless characters, there to get the job done, not to make kills. In Fortress, other demigods protect these guys so they can go about their business wrecking structures. In Conquest, I don't know anybody else that's better at pushing lanes th

The fact that I can't determine how my priests heal drastically reduces their worth. Drexen's first item REALLY has to be implemented, though. Why would the devs claim playing a general makes the game like an RTS and then not give us an RTS-like UI? This was a really dumb oversight.

innociv, I kinda feel with this guy -- there needs to be better commanding of minions, including being able to tell them to not chase enemies. Also idols need a real overhaul

7 Replies 1,603 Views

See thats another argument right there -- I think Regulus' ability to crowd control needs to be scaled back a little bit. Not being able to use mines like an AoE spell, as well as demanding some more intelligence out of the player I think is a fine way to curb him a little bit in that area. As it stands, mines do seem to be more of a rather effective AoE than an actual trap and that's not something Regulus should have, especially considering he already has exploding arrows to deal

5 Replies 1,778 Views

Why is it that when I increase the rank of Explosive Mines, I throw more mines but my max amount of mines doesn't increase? I'm fine with only being able to have 6 at a time, but I dont like being forced into using three in one location. I need to put more points into the skill to maintain their effectiveness as the game progresses, but throwing three at once hinders my ability to be strategic with them. What if I want a few in each lane? And what if I don't want the

As far as tele's concerned, I ought to be able to select an area on the minimap and it send me to a building nearest where I clicked. Snapping to demigods becomes an issue when there's two allied demigods standing very close to each other. I think it ought to be an option in the game menu, though. Some are going to love it and others are going to hate it.

I agree, there are maps like this in SC and WCIII, all of which are hysterically fun. There's something awesome about slowly being overpowered, barely scraping through each wave, knowing the next will be harder. I really hope they add this as a co-op alternative to always playing competitively.

I read 'I'm an artist' and immediately thought of someone uploading scans of their crappy sketchpad to Deviantart, but dude -- you're impressive. You should do a sweet fight with QoT and Torchbearer in the front fighting Regulus in angel-mode with the rook towering in the background. Would make a really dynamic picture! Have Rook smacking a shambler into the air, the QoT bein all hot and rippin up the ground under the rook's feet -- TB lobbing a fireball at Regulus. Bo
